Antique wood paneled room in excellent condition! This wood paneling was salvaged from the President's office of a leading Massachusetts newspaper publisher. The paneling and crown molding was taken out very carefully and the condition of the wood itself. Including the finish. Is mint. There are no knots in the wood. It appears to be black walnut but is actually a birch wood with a beautiful walnut finish. The quality craftsmanship is so excellent and so well done that our experts thoug ht it was walnut until they started taking the room apart! A pair of servants bell pulls from a large Victorian House. The ornate gilded cast brass bell pulls are decorated with acanthus leaf moulding and beading and have black pottery or porcelain handles. The pottery pieces have gilded floral and leaf pattern printed upon them. These are a wonderful pair of artefacts from a bygone time and a piece of social history. Ideal for anyone renovating a Victorian property. The bell pulls are in good antique. Used condition- see above for full details. They are 6 inches long with wall boss diameter of 3 1/2 inches and the diameter of the handle boss is 2 inches. They weigh a substantial 796g unpacked. The two pieces fit together and there is sort of an open hinge in the back. The finish is black paint that is worn off in some areas.
