These are a set of Patina Blackened roses that have been in my collection forever and I am letting go. The aging on these roses cannot be duplicated because the weather has done it all. I have about 30 pairs I will be selling and each pair is a little different so when you receive them they may look slightly different. They are old and weathered with great blacks and other colors that make each pair unique.due to the exposesure of the elements.They have a great texture due to metal being aged. 2 1/2" round. 1 1/2" in height approx. These are wonderful for scrapbooking. Simply adding a magnet to the back and putting on your refrigerator, adding to a special craft project, or welding on gates, chandeliers ect. Up for sale is antique architectural and gardening lion head wall mounted fountain recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia. PA area from the estate of an antique dealer. These items were packed away and remained unseen for over a decade. There are losses on the side and the bottom of the piece. The lions nose was pushed in a bit too. Please see the photos for details. It was painted over a copper finish, although it is not copper as it does take a magnet. This piece measures approximately 27 1/2" x 10 3/4" x 6" in size. Sweet! Very solid. Built like a tank! Gauge of metal is heavy, joints are tightly formed. Factory finish intact on the inside and backside is a mottled enamel. Size 7" wide x 10" high x 2 7/8" deep. In good condition despite the weathered appearance. At some point someone painted over the exposed surfaces with green house paint. Angled top overhangs the front surface by 1/8" so water can run off and not directly down the front. Neat thumb tab turns 360 degrees and allows unit to open. Front cover hinged at the bottom, mail slot has a hinged cover flap mounted on the inside and swings freely. Includes a pair of hooks for holding rolled newspaper or magazines attaches with a screw and nut. I attended an estate sale about 8 years ago in Little Rock. Arkansas. It was the estate of a lady who had been a very successful home decorator in the 1960's and early 70's. We bought the contents of her outside storage building and these were in that storage area. I have held onto them all these years. Trying to figure out what in the world they were. Someone told me yesterday that she believes they are the molds that you would use to press into the plaster or clay. Then when this is dry. this would then create the mold that you would pour the plaster into. I hope that makes sense and I hope that is truly what this is. Anyway. this person said she believes they are vintage. If not antique. But I will leave that for the bidder to determine. They are fairly heavy. weighing about 2.5 pounds(all together) Condition is very good. no breaks or holes in the metal. Two original art nouveau brass & copper on metal door finger plates
two original art nouveau brass plated door finger plates they are 10 1/2 inches long and just over 2.75" wide the fixing holes are 9.5" and 1.75" apart there is some pitting to the plate on each door plate one at the top and one at the bottom however. they are still both perfectly usable we have left these unpolished as they have a lovely patina that has built up over time. However. It has made it a little difficult to see what metal they are. They are definately pressed metal/tin not solid copper or brass. We think that the beading is a brass plate and the background is a copper plate but are not 100% sure I am selling some more of these as well as some in another design and will happily amalgamate to save on postage POSTAGE IS CHARGED AT COST. Antique Expanding Metal Chimney Scraper Tool not a Brush
Vintage chimney cleaner tool affixed to a rope. You drop it down the chimney. And the resistance and weight acts to expand it as you pull up, so it rakes the walls clean. Looks like it was not used very much, still in very good condition and complete. Gets into the square corners much better than a brush I would think, but this belongs more in a museum. The square plate you see near the bottom slides up to expand the cage to fit the inside of the chimney perfectly. Very clever design. I had never seen one like it before, but instantly knew what it was for. Very neat architectural piece with an unusual look. No markings on it that I can find. Length is 2 feet. Vintage Family Coat of Arms in cast metal- UT ALII DORMIANT" Description: A vintage cast metal family coat of arms plaque. The motto in a scroll at the bottom reads"UT ALII DORMIANT" which was also the motto for the Diepenbroick Infantry of the Hanoverian army in the mid 18th Century. The crest above the helmet is of a Crane holding a rock. Signifying vigilance. The elements of the shield are two more vigilant cranes above an unidentified tree. I have been unable to trace the family name that this coat of arms belongs to except for associating the motto with the Hanoverian army. The plaque is made from a cast metal with a brass colour to the front. It has six pins to the rear which were probably used for fixing in its original position. Antique Repurposed Architectural Strap Hinge Metal Sconces Candlesticks Lighting
Up for auction are a pair of antique repurposed iron metal strap hinges converted to a pair of candle sconces recently found at auction in the Lancaster County. PA area. They are painted black have a nice primitive look. Brass end caps were added to hold the candle. It will accommodate a 7/8" candle. Both hinges attract a magnet and are cast iron. Each measures approx 21" by 1 7/8" at its widest point. Great for a steampunk project or to be reused in any architectural setting. Here is a suite of metal cabinets that were removed from a 1950's-era kitchen. Made by'American Kitchens' There is a sink with base, as well as(5) upper cabinets in different sizes. These will need a bit of work to be refinished, as there are some dents and rust present. The sink top is a stamped steel piece(not cast iron) with a porcelain enamel finish. All of the cabinets have a wood-grain contact paper on them, though it does peel off! The sink base is rusty where ... morethe water supply/drain was located. And the kick has some glue residue from the old rubber moulding that was removed. One of the doors is badly dented and one of the drawers has a slight ding(see pics) The porcelain is in decent shape except for a small rust spot and a spot of missing enamel in one of the basins(see pics) The faucet trim is slightly pitted, and the spout looks like a replacement. There is no sprayer, the hole is plugged(see pics) The valves open and close freely. One of the upper cabinets also has a slightly bent door. But the rest are straight. There is also a small flourescent light that's included that attaches to the underside of the smallest cabinet(it was directly over the sink) All of the upper cabinets have adjustable shelves.
