WWII- World War II Era Map Panoramic Map Of Rome/ Vet collection This map was purchased from a tag sale in which the previous owner of the map was a WWII veteran. The map was with a group of military items including two other WWII maps which I have listed. The map measures approx. 22" X 34" and shows all of the buildings in Rome at that time. The map is in good condition. But has been folded for a long time. It is difficult to tell when it actually was made, since I am unable to see any Roman numerals or date on it. There are a few small tears at the edges, but generally the map is in good condition. The coloring is good too. Please check out the photos. This is a great collectible for any WWII collector or map collector. This map would look great framed! Happy Bidding!

This is a set of WWII US Red Cross armbands and map of Paris. One of the armband has some damage along one side and there is some bleeding of the red onto the white. Based on British surveys between 1855 and 1921 with additions to 1934, this chart offers extraordinary detail throughout including topography. The map shows considerable inland detail for a nautical chart, noting railways, rivers, towns, hills, etc. Bombay City in particular is beautifully ... moredetailed with streets, individual buildings, docks and forts noted. Please take a look at this wonderful Vintage Military Riveted Aluminum Suitcase with a Hand Painted Map of Japan and Korea; WWII-1950's Era. This great old suitcase is in good. Working condition with some flaws, of course. It is 24” by 17” by 7-1/2” thick, not including the handle. It has the name of the navy man that carried it; R. C. ANDRUS. And his serial number which is how you know he was in the navy. There is a hand painted map of Japan and Korea which probably means he was in the Korean conflict. As can be seen in the pictures. The latches are rusted, the blue silk lining is a bit dirty and torn, and one of the inside brackets has come loose. Still. Vintage Small Poster Poster has normal wear for age with the creases most vulnerable. It was folded and mailed originally. There are some light stains on the front and tiny tears in the edges and folds. Poster measures about 17" x 11" Printed on regular paper. Not poster paper. This would be nice framed. It was compiled and printed at Washington, D.C. by the U. S. Coast and Geodetic Survey. It shows the area in and around Casper Wyoming, including parts of Nebraska and South Dakota. Condition: generally good. There is some toning(slight darkening) mostly along the fold lines. See my other eBay listings for more interesting items including several additional maps. This is a vintage map made by the Geographia Map Co. titled. Battle Map of the Far East and the Pacific. It says was produced under the direction of Alexander Gross, F.R.G.S. One side has a map of the world, and the other is a map of the Pacific Ocean area. Both sides indicate things like shipping routes and railways. This is apparently from the World War II era, though I do not see a date on the map. The maps is in very good condition, save for a few worn-through areas at the folds, as shown in the photos. IMPORTANT WWII PILOT ESCAPE MAP FOR JAPANESE OCCUPIED BORNEO AND JAVA. FROM WWII ARMY AIR CORPS VETERAN About two weeks ago I attended an auction that had a single collection for auction. From a WWII Army Air Corps veteran. The auction featured not only his own personal gear he used in WWII, but also as a major collector of militaria, artifacts that he acquired that ranged from the period of the Civil War through Vietnam. This WWII pilot escape map is from that collection. It is 21" wide, 38 1/2" in length. Other than fold lines it is in fine condition and could look great framed in a way to be able to view both side/maps. This is a cloth(silk? very light material pair of maps front and back. One side has the island of Borneo and the other. A map of Java. It is dated 1944 and expressly indicates it is for War or Navy Department ... moreonly, not to be distributed to the public. It appears that some of the map details such as marshes, and topography/height of some terrain, would help a pilot get a better idea of where he was after being shot down. Borneo had been administered under British and Dutch control until the Japanese captured Borneo in 1941. Occupying the island until it was liberated in 1945. Borneo now comprises three nations: Indonesia, Malaysia, and the small nation of Brunei. The map on the other side depicts Java, which was occupied by the Japanese in 1942 and was never re-taken during the war; the Japanese surrendered Java when Japan itself surrendered in the summer of 1945. Clearly, this map was intended to provide downed pilots with an idea of the land around them and perhaps a way to avoid capture while seeking means for a rescue by friendly forces. 30 day return guarantee as long as the map is returned in the same condition as sent.
