This is a 1890 Railroad map of Ontario. It is made up of two14 X 20 inch maps. According to Worldcat.org only one other 1890 enlarged business atlas exists and it is held at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam in the Netherlands. This map is in great condition and was printed on good stock paper. See first scans. Should look fantastic matted and framed. All maps we sell are rolled carefully in kraft paper and placed inside a very strong tube for shipment. We like you to receive the map in the same condition it left. This is a large 1932 detailed Railroad map of Georgia. It comes in two sections. Each measures 13 X 20 inches. Map was taken from the Hammond's Superior Loose Leaf Atlas which is very scarce and highly sought after. This map is genuine. Not a copy or reprint. It may have a few minor handling flaws as to be expected in a map this age. It is a pleasure to offer such a large map this size without creases or folds. Cram, Chicago& New York, 1895. Both are LARGE double-page maps which measures 17 ½ x 25" including margins) The map of the EASTERN HALF of Virginia& West Virginia shows the routes of 34 railroads operating in that part of those states during this era. The map of the WESTERN HALF of Virginia& West Virginia shows the routes of 37 railroads. A few minor edge tears. But both maps are otherwise in quite good condition on paper of fine old rag content and would look great if matted/ framed. Both States and each County are outlined beautifully in red. This is a large 1929 Railroad Map of Texas. It is two maps measuring 28 X 20 inches each. It is quite detailed. Showing some topography, towns, transportation lines, and other landmarks as they existed in 1929. On its face it has a listing of the Railroads in existence at the time. See bottom scan. This map was wax engraved and was issued as part of the Rand McNally Commercial Atlas. To be used by shippers and businesses to get their goods to customers and markets. During this time, many different Railroad Companies existed, so this was no mean feat. The Rand McNally Commercial Atlas was updated yearly to show all railroad stops. Each rail line is shown by red numbers over printed on the base map which allowed for easy identification to find the rail line. This map is genuine. Not a copy or reprint. The fold open size of brochure is 10 1/4" by 17 1/2" in size. Panel size is 2 1/2" by 5 1/8" On one side is a large map/ground plan of the World's Fair. At the bottom right hand corner is the printing date of the brochure. Which is 3-1-04. There is a panel that gives the time tables for trains servicing between St. Paul. Minneapolis and St. Louis. The paper is single sided with a pressed fold in the middle. Overall this 165 year old steel engraving is in very fine condition. One drawer is blank, one has insurance chart, and one(top) has old United States map. This is a Rand McNally Map System that allowed the user to pull out the maps and use stick pins to located certain areas. Overall it is in great solid condition. Has finished panels on all sides. This is a data readable CD that contains a viewing history(as seen through the original maps and time tables) of the Eureka Springs Railway that started operations during 1883. After 1883. And into the early 1900’s, this railroad changed names to the St. Louis& Northern Arkansas railroad, the Missouri& North Arkansas Railroad, the Missouri& North Arkansas Railway Company and the Missouri& Arkansas Railway Company. The railroad(when it was completed in 1909) went from Joplin, Missouri to Helena, Arkansas. During circa 1946, the railroad company ceased operations circa 1949, declared abandonment status. The tracks were physically removed from Harrison, Arkansas to Cotton Plant, Arkansas. This data readable CD starts in 1871. Showing the Atlantic& Pacific Railroad leaving St. Louis and entering into Southwest Missouri area-not ... morefar from the Northwest Arkansas border. This same railroad(circa 1877) was named the St. Louis& San Francisco(Frisco) with tracks going from St. Louis, Missouri to Vinita, Indian Territory. In circa 1883, a branch railroad line left Seligman, Missouri, crossing the Arkansas border and entering into Eureka Springs, Arkansas. The railroad was called the Eureka Springs Railway. The railroad maps and time tables(on this CD) are from the sellers map collection and not copied from any other sources. The seller physically owns the originals. Scale is 1 inch = 100 feet. Title of plan is C&EI Ry. Chicago Division. Oaklawn, IL. Plan of Shop Grounds, Buildings and Pipe Lines from Office of Division Engineer, Danville, IL. One photo shows just a small portion near the roundhouse area. This plan actually shows the entire facility between National Ave. on the west to Kansas Ave. on the east. Shows all the tracks, buildings, platforms, and roundhouse ... moreplus lots of other details written in. This plan was folded up and has some crinkles in it too. We will ship it rolled in a tube but expect that it has lots of fold lines in it. Nothing we can do about that. Nice old plan that is very legible. Set of photocopies of a bunch of ICC Accident Reports all dealing with bad wrecks on the C&EI. Includes the terrible wreck at Dewey. IN. on Sept. 14, 1944 that killed 29 people.
