See descriptions: These are old piano books from Schirmers Library of Musical Classics Vols 816 and 1447 the cover says"design Copyright 1939" inside copyright 1932 and 1949. Binding edge slightly worn on The Nutcracker and the cover is missing from Album for the Young. Pages slighly yellowed and small amount of pencil marks inside Album for the Young with some stains on the pages, book 1 is in pretty good shape with just a few scuffs to the front cover and a dog leafed corner the the front cover and first page.The pages inside have minimal yellowing and some pencil note marks. The book cover is yellow on the cover with green writing. They look more white in the pictures. I am downsizing and preparing to retire so I am selling a lot of my music. I inherited some of this from my mother. And she had inherited some it as well. I am not an expert or a dealer, but my guess is this music is rare and hard to find. It's so old that I can't imagine there are lot of copies still around. This is a lot of two books of piano arrangements that were copyrighted in the 1930's and 1940's. Sprightly Rhythms for the Pianoforte contains 18 songs including recognizable pieces such as On the Blue Danube waltz. This book is still held together by the stitching but the covers are missing. There are a few pencil markings but for its age I think it's in remarkable condition. Burgmuller Op. 100 contains"25 easy and progressive studies expressly composed for small hands" as stated in the book. There are ... morequite a few pencil markings in it but the pages and cover are intact. This book is part of Schirmer's Library of Musical Classics. I have also included 7 titles of sheet music as pictured above. Again. This is very, very old music but all pages and covers are present; however, some are separated. There is of course creasing and a few minor marking but there is a lot of life left in this music and would be great for a student. These are hardcover books that measure 8" x 5.5" and have a little over 300 pages each. The date is on the copyright page and the title page, which means this is a first edition. The title page also staes Fiftieth thousand. These books are in ACCEPTABLE condition. The covers have a considerable amount of wear and the spines are very worn and have tears, the bindings are loose and the pages are discolored. Both spines are cocked, and some of the pages in Volume II are no longer attached.
