It may be from the 1960s?? The paper/ canvas map itself is not in perfect condition. There is ceasing and tares on the right side. The plastic overlay that contains the borders and names of the countries is in good condition. It is attached to a wooden roller. It measures 51" x 75". I have the metal bracket it was on if wanted. However, that would increase the shipping cost. It would be a great piece if framed. Please see the photos for the condition.

The maps had metal ... morepins at each end. One end goes into holes drilled in the end of this frame. The other end goes in slots in a metal holder that is in the other end. The inside dimensions of this unit is approx 42" by 14 1/2." Thus the length of the maps including the pins that stick out each end is slighly longer than 42" so it would hold in the drilled holes. This map HART AMERICAN HISTORY SERIES BY ALBERT BUSHNELL LLD. HAVARD UNIVERSITY and is copyrighted in 1927 by DENOYER GEPPERT CO. Chicago compiled and drawn by R. Baxter Blair and L. Philip Denoyer geographer. It has very interesting subject matter of 1880- 1892 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS. It is made of canvas and the map measures about 44" wide by 36" which is the perfect size for display on the wall. Vibrant color. Here is an old(antique) Large. Pull down map of ancient Greece(looks like the Pauline age) It does have some discoloration at the bottom- in some of the pictures you'll notice some lines and shading that aren't on the map they are just shadows behind it(sorry bad pictures) the map is in otherwise good shape. There is no date on the map itself but the latest patent date on the pole is 1901 so I'm assuming the map dates around that era. I'm not sure if the coil mechanism works- I have done my best to describe this item and as such it is sold as is.

This is a map produced by Nystrom. The map does not have a copyright date. But I estimate it is probably about 10 to 15 years old. This map measures 65 inches high by 72 inches wide. This map is the Mark On- Rub Off type. The material is canvas-like. Nice bright colors. At the bottom of the map in the dark red area, there are some places where the coating has chipped off. One of the chips has become deep enough to go through the canvas to make a small hole. The map is approx. 52" long x 51" wide. There is some yellowing on the back canvas, but it does not come through to the front. The map roll up mechanism works great. The rod is wood and the hanger part is metal. This is a Vintage School Pull-Down Map of Mexico. Central America, and West Indies. The map is in excellent condition. There is NO damage to the map. But the map has detached from the roller. It appears that the top portion of the map was stapled to the roller(see photo 12) It should be an easy fix if you have a staple gun. The roller seems to work, but I am not positive because the map is not attached. The map has a wood handle at the bottom with a metal hoop. The roller is made by HARTSHORN. The roller reads- Hartshorn Self-Acting Roller" The bottom of the map reads as follows- Denoyer-Geppert Co. Chicago" The lower right-hand corner of the map reads- Constructed& Printed by W& AK. Johnston Limited Edinburgh& London" photo 4) This company started making maps in the 1800s. The map has a wood hanging board with ... moretwo hooks behind the top roller(photo 11) I estimate the map to have originated from the early 1900s. The map is made of heavy gauge paper. But the reverse seems to be a canvas. But I am not positive.

Rare two Sided Denoyer-Geppert Vintage School Classroom Pull-Down Chalkboard Map We are pleased to offer this very rare double sided Denoyer-Geppert Vintage School Classroom Pull-Down Chalkboard Map One side is of the Continental United States and the opposite side is of the world Maps are in good condition. There is chalk residue on both sides. There is a red line across the world side mid to upper portion that would not come off with a damp cloth. We are not sure if it is red chalk or marker. The map is detaching from the wood pull down bar on one end. This should be a relatively easy fix. But we will leave that to the buyer. The map extends and retracts as designed. A vintage George F Cram World map school map. The Cram map of the world features a panoramic view of the world. It has USSR. The pull down spring loaded wood rod and metal hanger/mounting brackets work perfectly. Some age discoloration on the back. Esp. about 5" on the bottom. The Cram world map also has a teacher name written on it in a couple of places. Arrows in picture indicate small areas that are beginning to crack. These areas are not through the whole map.
