Anyway, perfect un polished patina, no big dents, clear and un cracked glass, The petcock seems to rotate fine. Untested. He indicated it came from the San Francisco area and the interior sticker marks this is as Pacific Coast Instruments. There is a bit of roughness in the outer rim at the 2:00 oclock position. It weighs nearly 4.5 lbs, is about 5 inches tall and 4 inches across. The base is threaded and I assume used to screw on the top of hydrants. Very nice cased Lietz transit#6402. All level vials are intact. And the optics are clear and perfect. It has one vertical crosshair, and two horizontal crosshairs in the top and bottom quadrant. I don't know if it was used in mining or not. There is a steel ring at the top center of the barrel, that I do not know the function of. All adjustment knobs and adjustments work as they should. The wooden case has a broken leather carrying strap, and I have no key for the box. The compass needle is a little over 4" long, and the dial 5" in diameter. In the inside door of the case is a Lasico sticker(Los Angeles Scientific Instrument Co. showing it was last cleaned and inspected on April 22, 1960. Shipping is a flat $45.00 in the Continental US. Around 1880's it was outside of the NATHAN, DOHRMANN& CO(maker of fine china) in San Francisco's Sutter st, where company was located since 1875. It has oil container(Banner P& A MFG Co) but I don't think this is original one. It is very rusted and completely destroyed(this is most likely second or third one that was used for this oil lamp) You can see the patina even though I used some brass cleaning solution to see how it should look. It has original rain protection or smoke bell, but no original chimney or globe. I think it was destroyed during 1906 San Francisco's earthquake. And this bottle has some sort of deformity just under the slug plate not sure from when it was made or from when it was dug, but it is there and I do have to mention it for accuracy because as you can tell it still looks great in the pictures. Bottle measures about 12 inches long, 2 7/8 inch diameter across the bottom and a 3/4 inch opening at the top. Bottle looks great and has some nice tool marks and bubbles through out. You are looking at a token coin from Mills of San Francisco. California, circa 1930's. It is brass, round 13/16 diameter with a 3/16 diameter center hole and has teeth around the edges on both sides. The obverse reads"MILLS GOLDEN OFFICIAL" and the reverse reads"LOANED FOR AMUSEMENT ONLY" Mills Golden was a pinball game that was introduced in 1933. The coin is probably circulated, but it is in excellent condition. I bought it at a coin show probably 40 years ago. I thank you for looking.

Absolutely stunning. Impressive 1890 Saloon Backbar piece is up for Auction: Grandmother is ready to downsize! Originally transported by horse and buggy from San Francisco to Davis. CA, this piece was in one of many bars downtown; when the owner sold the bar. The piece ended up with our family and we have enjoyed it for over 3 0 years. It fit nicely into a family room(remodeled two-car garage) and then was moved to be the centerpiece of a Bed and Breakfast in the mountains. No w it is in a family home. But ready to be claimed by someone who will appreciate its History and Beauty! There are 32 different openings ~ ba sically it is like 8 beautiful cabinets side-by-side; each of the cabinets has shelves. Some are original wood and some were replaced with glass. The lower section has a sectioned door(originally st ored tobacco tins) that opens(mahogany ... moreis beautiful ins ide) with another small shelf and the bottom row is a series of bins that open that originally had galvin ized metal for keeping things cold. The whole piece is in two giant sections. 4' x 20' I have included photos showing Moving Day; it fits into a 24' moving truck. We have enjoyed it for various collections of dolls. Here is an antique souvenir book from the 1915 San Francisco Panama Pacific Expo published in 1914 by Robert A. Reid. It is 24 pages of black and white photos of the expo and early San Francisco city views in very good condition.No damage. Measures 11" x 7.5" nice addition to any early world fair collection almost 100 yrs old.

Antique Fire Extinguisher Fire Dust Newbegin Fire Appliance Co. San Francisco Ca
Antique Safety First fire dust fire extinguisher made by Newbegin Fire Appliance Company of San Francisco California. This may date back as far as the early 1920's. I found reference to this item by the same company in a San Francisco newpaper archive dated 1923. The item is still full and unopened. Top pull ring is still intact. There is a lot of corrsion on the container but it is still readable for the most part. The bottom is dented and there are a few scrapes as well. Stands 15 inches tall and is just under 2 3/4 inches in diameter. The item weighs 3 lbs 10 ounces by itself. Please send me a message if you have any questions and thanks for looking.
