Buildings, barnes, greenhouses, railroads, national boundaries, State boundaries, towns, woods, vineyards, marshes, mine tunnels, steep slopes, tunnels, bridges, etc. Map is generally in Acceptable condition. It has been stored in a roll for many years. So it naturally rolls up now. The map has heavy wear, creases and browning. There are some creases and tears around the edges of the paper and other stains along the edges. Two larger tears into the crease in the middle from the top and from the bottom. A Soldier's Guide to Naples" is from WWII. Measuring 5" x 6 3/4" it has pieces missing from the cover and corners as the paper in like newsprint so it is brittle. It has some photos and information(47 pages)about Naples. Along with a map that measures 9 1/2" x 13" The booklet has been stapled by someone about halfway through and the map has wear to the folds and a hole in one segment. Overall condition is fair for a neat WWII item.

This is a translation book with phrases and statements translated from English to French. German& Dutch. It has stains and marks on it but it did go through WWII so that is to be expected. 3. A Red Cross issued Map of Paris. 4. A homemade dog tag with the soldiers name and serial number. Made of aluminum and looks to be stamped by hand. WWII RAAF Australian silk map of Halmahera
This is a nice well used Royal Australian Air Force map of the island of Halmahera. It appears to be silk and is quite large. It has rough cut edges and a couple of small tears along the seam where it has been folded since WWII. This map also shows many islands like Morotai and Western New Guinea. Overall it reatins nice coloring and is quite legible. It displays very nicely and I believe it is quite rare. A great addition to any WWII South Pacific exhibit! I use USPS First Class or Priority Mail and usually ship within three business days of payment. This is an awesome find! This four piece map of Paris is dated 1940 and was produced for the German Army. Each of the quadrant maps measure about 41" x 32" 104 cm x 81 cm) I don't think my images above do this lot justice! The maps are incredibly detailed(the print in the margin indicates they were specifically intended for engineers) and have lovely color. The folds are so crisp and strong that I wouldn't be surprised if these maps haven't been unfolded since the war. The paper is very clean with only minimal toning. Also included is the original storage folder. The folder is in decent condition with some handwritten notes on it. I have seen a lot of maps from this period and these are the most impressive I've ever run into. The condition is just superb. When stored they weigh over a pound! This is a beautiful Imperial Japanese Navy officer merit plaque. The condition is mint. No damage at all. The samurai on the front is Kusunoki Masashige, who embodied the meaning of loyalty to the Emperor. Note how Japan, Sakhalin, Korea and Taiwan are all the same color, denoting Japan's expanded dominion. On the bottom right is a battleship and the kanji on top reads SHOU(Award) The reverse reads SHOWA 14 NEN(1939) and KAIGUN KENTEI HOUSHOU(Navy Officer Examination Merit Award) It's hard to see in the photos, but also on the back, impressed into the ceramic is a Hattori mark. This Hattori(K. Hattori) became the Seiko Watch Co. Note the plaque is in the shape of the Sacred Mirror, one of Japan's"Three Sacred Treasures. Original WWII War Map of Gorlitz Germany Published by the War Department in 1943. This map is titled GORLITZ. A town in East Germany. It is labeled CENTRAL EUROPE- FIRST EDITION- ARMY/AIR- SHEET O.52 Gorlitz- Near the end of World War II. German troops destroyed all bridges crossing the Lusatian Neisse. The redrawing of boundaries in 1945- in particular the relocation of the German-Polish border to the present Oder-Neisse line- divided the town. The right bank became part of Poland and was renamed Zgorzelec by the Polish communist government in 1948, while the main portion on the left bank remained part of Germany, now within the state of Saxony. Also includes: Spremberg Forst(Lausitz) Guben- At the Potsdam Conference at the end of World War II in 1945. The boundary between Germany and Poland was fixed as the Oder-Neisse Line. Because Guben ... morewas on the Lusatian Neisse, the city was separated into German Guben and Polish Gubin. Because the historical center of Guben became Gubin. The western suburbs which grew from the Benedictine cloister remained in Guben. Although underdeveloped compared to the town across the river, the remaining Guben began to grow extensively after 1945, especially through the construction of a chemical plant and additional residential areas. Sorau(now Zary. Poland) Red Army troops entered Sorau in February 1945. At the Potsdam Conference, British and American representatives were initially unwilling to agree to Polish administration being extended as far west as Stalin desired. After some negotiations, both the Soviet and Polish representatives indicated that they would be willing to concede a frontier along the historic Lusatian border with Silesia at the Oder-Bóbr-Kwisa rivers, which would have left Sorau German. This small concession ultimately proved unnecessary, however, since the next day at Potsdam the US Secretary of State told the Soviet Foreign Minister the US would agree to today's Oder-Neisse frontier. Up for auction is a VINTAGE LOT of 2 WWII 1942 BOOK& BROCHURE/MAP*A GUIDE TO U.S. ARMY INSIGNIA& DECORATIONS BOOK& SERVICEMEN'S MAP of the UNITED STATES& INSIGNIA of the ARMED FORCES"I found this while going through my childhood home. The U.S. Army Insignia book has 62 pages with over 140 illustrations in color. On the inside of the cover. My mom had written her name and the date. There are 6 pages that have pencil markings of an"X" on them(see photos) however, other than that, this book is in VERY GOOD CONDITION. The map has the insignia of all the Armed Forces. And although there is no date on it, I believe it to be from the 1940's also. It has a small tear at the bottom of the middle crease and a few smudge/stains, but is in overall GOOD CONDITION. The other side has a scale read in inches to convert to Miles or Verstes(Verst being an obsolete Russian unit of measurement equaling 1.067 Kilometers) Inner scale reads in Centimeters for conversion to meters. It has a small wheel at bottom which is traced along map route to give reading. It is marked"Germany" on the distance face. It is not maker marked. But is believed to date from WWII.
