Absolutely stunning Joe Maneely cover! The first story includes a splash page with a very imposing impression of a skull. Actually. The interior artwork in general is superb and way above average IMO. The front cover has beautiful color saturation with a very solid spine and no real flaws. The interior pages are offwhite with excellent graphics. Just some tanning at the margins of the inside front and back covers. There are some two or three minor tears at the left edge of the back cover and some tiny sliver chips at the bottom back cover as well. A very nice VG/FN to FN- Satisfaction guaranteed. It also has colored statistical diagrams and the world’s people illustrated by engravings. The maps and illustrations all look to be in good shape but the cover is coming away from the spine in the back(See last photo) Also the covers are some mottled around the top and bottom as seen in the first photo and the first three pages are frayed at the outside edge. If you look closely at the second photo. It measures 11.5 x 14.5 inches and is 176 pages long. Check photos for more details. What you see in the photos is what is being auctioned. Up for auction is a Golden Age Atlas Adventures Into Weird Worlds#26 February 1954 in VG+ 4.5 condition. Keep in mind. I'm not a professional grader, but I have had the experience of grading hundreds of my dads collection and you can see that from my other auctions and feedback I take great care in assessing the comic book. I am working off of the Ebay Pricing Guide, so please refer to it is for reference. I try to be as conservative as possible and the imperfections for this copy are as follows; Cover color and reflectivity are very good with tanning coming through on top edge and right edge. 3/4" spine split at top of spine and staple tears minor at top and moderate at bottom with bottom released front cover but holding. Hairline color breaks running vertically along spine. Minute tears from rollover at top edge with chip at right ... morecorner tip and hairline color loss. Crease at top right and middle edge from opening cover. Hairline color loss at bottom right corner tip and lifted up slightly. Date stamp at bottom left near fence graphic. Solid cover with limited creases in middle or dimples if at all. back cover shows tanning around edges and corner crease at top left with color break and slight tear at top middle edge. Slight soil at left edge middle to bottom and minor stress creases at right along spine. and line discoloration at bottom of spine. Crease from top corner goes into inside pages from back cover. Insert paper is tan and supple. There is no reserve on this auction and it needs a good new home with someone who appreciates this comic. I will ship to Europe and Canada but please don't use the Global Shipping Program which is extremely expensive. I'll work out the cost for you which will be far more reasonable.
