It is basically as seen in the pics, with overall tonal aging and slight darkening around the edges. This is a stock certificate for the'Bamberger Railroad Company. of Utah. It was issued in 1945 and has a raised seal and brown underprint. Generally clean condition with the original, even folds. Also included with the stock is a photocopy of a map from the Bamberger Railroad. The stock is original, the map is just a copy for reference. Here is a bit on the railroad written by Robert O. Greenwalt: For a score or more years now. Bamberger has been a quiet rail-related subject. But before, the name was a most prevalent one in Salt lake City since the Bamberger Railroad company was that well-known interurban linking Ogden to the north, and whose route skirted the eastern shores of Great Salt Lake. The Salt Lake& Ogden Railway. Incorporated in 1896, began as a steam operation and reached Ogden in 1908. Simon Bamberger was the father of ... morethe line and held the great majority of the company stock, along with the immediate family. In 1910 the road was electrified and in 1917 the corporate name was changed to Bamberger Electric Railroad Company. When a complete reorganization took place in 1939. The venture became simply Bamberger Railroad Company. In 1952 diesel power was introduced and spelled silence to the catenaries. Trains departed from Salt lake Terminal. Situated diagonally across from Temple Square, and during most of the road's life the depot was shared with the southbound Salt Lake Y& Utah RR-another electric interurban that sailed south to Provo and points slightly beyond. The manual is included and they still have tech support. This was a $ 1,000 sensor when it was new. I bought it from the spares inventory at a water treatment plant. I never got around to using it at my fish farm. It has 4-20 ma output. You can program from the keyboard under the cover. It is heavy duty.
