Early stock certificate of the Sampson Mining Company and one of the few mining companies to be incorporated under the laws of the TERRITORY of UTAH. 1891. Detailed vignette of miners digging underground in mine which was located at Bingham. Utah. Gold and silver mining companies were the major companies in the mid to late 19th century as the price of those precious metals served as a store of value and had several commercial applications. But with Edison's invention of the electric light bulb in the 1880s. The industrial need for copper and copper wiring sky rocketed as did the price of copper. Sampson's copper mine at Bingham became more important and valuable then many of the surrounding gold and silver mines. This is an issued and uncanceled 1883 certificate from the Comet Mining Co. Which although incorporated in France, actually operated the Comet and Morrison Mines at Frisco, Utah Territory. Fifty coupons remain attached. Condition is very good with the usual center fold, a rough top edge, and some edge nicks and chips. Shipping fee includes sending in a cardboard mailer, and multiple purchases can be combined into one package for one shipping fee. For non-US buyers, the actual International First Class rate will be charged rather than the higher fees which the eBay calculator shows. FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION ARE THESE: 4 VINTAGE UTAH HS1-C SPEAKERS ALL ORIGINAL PARTS AND DRIVERS WITH GLASS TOPS. They are very nice condition without bad chips or corner hits(maybe a couple minor dinks) And real walnut veneer is in great condition. I burnished/re-oiled them a year ago. I've had them for 8 years purchased from original owner. They have glass tops made for them and they go with them. The glass tops had always been on them while used as end tables in living room so the tops of the enclosures are decent. And bottoms are nice too from being on carpet. Each have a 12" woofer. A 3" mid/tweet. And a horn tweeter, an adjuster on back for the tweeter intensity, and will handle 50 watts max. All drivers and crossovers are original. Damage free and in working condition. Size: The map image measures 16 by 27 inches on a page measuring approximately 18 by 29 inches with plenty of margin all around for framing. It is a full double page sheet as issued. Condition: The map is in Good or better condition with overall light tonal aging. There is some minor wear along the top edge and we have reinforced the upper corners on the reverse with acid free materials. Otherwise it is very clean and would frame up nicely. County Map of UTAH and NEVADA 1874 This is an attractive antique map of Utah and Nevada which is over 135 years old. It was published in 1874 in Mitchell’s New General Atlas. And features original handcoloring done at that time. It is on a sheet measuring slightly over 12 x 15 inches in size, with the map image surrounded by an appealing ornate border. The map is in Fine condition. There is a credit line printed in very small script in the upper left corner beside the map which says: Entered according to the Act of Congress in the year 1874 by S. Augustus Mitchell in the Office of the Librarian of Congress at Washington. It also bears an engraver's credit line saying: Drawn and Engraved by W. H. Gamble. Philadelphia. The page is blank on its backside. The map is drawn to a scale of approximately 47 miles to the inch. For sale is this vintage 1970 Utah 12" vintage guitar amplifier speaker. This 12" speaker. Date code 328016, is in good 100% original condition and features the original cone. It is being sold in as-is condition, and may require a proper re-cone before installation. Appropriate for miscellaneous electric guitar amplifiers completed in 1970, this 12" speaker would be a great era appropriate replacement for a Magnatone, Fender, or other amps. Deanna Durbin signed autograph photo, universal ray jones, utah theatre history
Deanna Durbin photo. Approx 10 1/2" by 13 1/2" inches. Note on photo says"Sincere Wishes to Roy Firmage from Deanna Durbin Universal Pictures" Photo is bowed a bit. Small blemish to photo just above her right eye inside corner. About an inch up, there looks like a small mole but it is a black dot on the photo. on that spot the photo looses its shine for about a small circle 1/8" diameter. Also below her right eye there are two small black dots. I can't tell if they are freckles or moles or imperfections to the photo. The corners and the edges are not sharp and clean but what you'd expect from a photo of this age. From the right corner diagonally down about two inches in a very small crease that is hardly noticable. Probably from the frame it was in. On the back is a stamp that reads: Deanna Durbin featured ... moreplayer in Universal Pictures" And another stamp that reads: please credit Photo By Ray Jones Universal pictures" On the back right hand corner there is a small spot that looks like an adhesive decal was removed. As a result this spot is roughed up a bit. The back of the photo the edges on in for one to two inches are a little dirty like this has been in a frame for a long time. In my search of search engine images I have not found this photo. There is one very close but different probably taken on the same day. This photo probably has a great Utah theatre history connection. If my research is correct Roy Firmage started the movie theaters in Beaver and Milford.
