Here is a fair condition United States Geologic Survey 15 Minute Series Topographical MAP of the GREENLAW Quadrangle of the STATE OF MAINE. It is the 1944 reprint of the 1933 edition. It DOES NOT HAVE the green overprint that shows forested areas. It shows most of the towns of T10R7. T11R7, and T12R7, and parts of T10R6, T10R8, T11R8, T12R8, Garfield, and Nashville. Also, it shows Greenlaw Mountain and part of the Machias River. This map is in fairly condition. There is moderate yellowing. Wrinkling and soiling. The right hand margin has been cut off, and there is a tear at the bottom edge. But, the mapped area itself is still very legible. Great for the diehard MAINE map collector! Vintage Kelty Pack USGS 1960s Everest Whittaker
You are bidding on a vintage Kelty backpack. This is from the era of Jim Whittaker's first ascent of Everest in 1963. Look at the photo from that expedition here: Kelty moved manufacturing from Glendale. California to Sun Valley in 1968. at the time, the Kelty logo had the mountains in the background, the Kelty name with an arrow behind the letters, and the words'Glendale' or'Sun Valley' below. Kelty supplied the packs for that expedition. This pack was owned by the USGS and was purchased recently at auction. Who knows where this pack has been? Unfortunately a mouse got to one corner of the pack flap as shown in the picture. The pack is fully functional and the zippers all work. Here is a fairly good condition United States Geologic Survey 15 Minute Series Topographical MAP of the GRAY Quadrangle of the STATE OF MAINE. It is the 1957 edition. It DOES HAVE the green overprint that shows forested areas. It shows most of the towns of Raymond. Gray, and Windham, and parts of Casco, New Gloucester, Standish, Gorham, Falmouth, Cumberland, and North Yarmouth. Also, it shows Sebago, Little Sebago, and Sabbathday Lakes. The Shaker community of Sabbathday Lake is on this map This map is in fairly good condition. There are 2 folds down the side margins. And it has some overall wrinkling and soiling.
