This is a great 2 map set of pull down topographical school maps made by Nystrom. The maps include the World and United States. All on one roll. Each map measures about 5' wide and 4' tall. They are in very good condition. No rips or stains. Comes on the mounting bracket, ready to go.

Vintage Industrial Pull Down Wall Steel Map Rack Display Holder School Storage
This rack came to us with some maps that we recently bought at a school auction. The"C" cross section steel frames of most pull-down maps will slide over the tabs on this rack so multiple maps can be secured to the wall and moved if necessary. The rack measures 42" W x 26" T x 1.5" D and there are 10 tabs for maps. The tabs measure about 1 1/4" wide and 1/4" tall. The map has a few splotches of paint from overzealous room painters and it may be missing some parts- there is no clear built-in way for mounting the map to the wall. There are two tabs at either end attached with wing nuts which seem to be part of an incomplete attachment system. The rack could be mounted to the wall easily enough with some sort of creative fix. There are rubber bumpers on the back along the bottom to protect the wall from scratching. ... moreBulbs are not included unless specified. This is an old pull down school map on linen. It is a map of the Africa. Dimensions are 43.5" wide x 56" long. There is no date to be found. Just that it is the Excello Series, and The George F Cram Company, Inc; Indianapolis 7, Indiana. It has French West Africa which ended in 1960. The condition of this map is not great as it has staining from previous moisture damage. There is staining present on the back side of the linen some is mildew stained. The front of the map has some age stains also. I personally think it has a lot of character and think it has great decorating potential. It rolls up and down well. It has been stored indoors in a dry environment for 30+ years so any stains that came from moisture happened well before that. This map is old and I wish I could get info on the exact date. Vintage Industrial World School Pull Down Wall Map Educational Systems 30-21 Art
This World Map was made by Modern Educational Systems. Model no. 30-21. It was made in 1988, just before the Berlin Wall came down, and you can see that East and West Germany are still divided on the map of Europe. The pull bar is 65" and some tape repairs have been made along the back of it. The map itself is 61 1/4" L x 46 1/2" T. The map is made to mount on a map rack but it can be hung on a wall using two 3/4" holes spaced 36" apart in the metal support. Someone had made tape repairs to the back of the map with a strong tape of some sort- it's silver tape, but looks different than duct tape. The repairs seems secure. This lot is for a vintage wall/school map. MEXICO- Visual Relief Series 1968 Denoyer-Geppert Co. Chicago The length of the metal rail at the top of the map is 69 1/2" L When you pull the map down to open it fully. It measures 63 1/2" W x 49 1/2" H. The map alone with the white border is 63 1/2" W x 43 1/2" H. The map pulls up and down like a window shade and works well. I do not have any mounting hardware! There are no tears in the map. But there are spots on the back of the map. They might come off if cleaned, but I did not attempt to clean them. The map is a fabric/paper combination. This is: a vintage wall map. The kind ubiquitous during the 60s and 70s in almost every school. It fastens to the wall, pulls down like a window blind, stops and stays during the lesson, and another pull releases it to go back up into the case. I took pix of this outside mostly as the color is more true(and I am tired of being inside) and it is pretty large. Has metal pull bar at the bottom and pull ring. Made of some sort of heavy flexible paper mostly, some sort of vinyl material at bottom, base and top of heavy metal. Last pix shows the maker, Rand McNally, copyright 1966, other number, 14-5010 1R69, may indicate was made in 1969. Not sure. This is of North America, of course includes USA, but also Canada, bit of Soviet Union and all of Greenland at top, and Central America, the top of South America at the bottom, edge of Europe to the ... moreright. Condition and size: Good condition overall. Maybe has some fading of color, and a little bend in metal of bottom pull. Edges of map are surprisingly good. Measures about 50" across, metal bar at base and case/ mounting structure at top about 1 1/2" more per side, or 3" overall making total width 53" Map is about 5' tall, plus about 5" of green material at bottom and 1" for the metal bar at the bottom, for a total of 5 1/2" foot plus a bit for hanger bit. Up for bid I have a vintage 1921 pull down school map of the United States. This map is from the Hart American History Series. Published by Denoyer-Geppert Co. Chicago. Copyright 1918. Fourth edition 1921. Complied and drawn by R. Baxter Blair. This has 2 maps; A-8 is Revolutionary War A-9 is State Claims and Ratification Measures 43" by 60" The map is in fair/poor condition. Damage includes having the bottom dowel partially detached. Large crack running top to bottom center. and also discolor on the bottom 2-3 inches from exposure to light and dust. Please see photos. No mounting bracket. I have several maps I will be listing from a lot I bought a few years ago. Including more from this series. I will be happy to combine shipping if possible. Not many people can afford the original school type maps, they're not cheap but they don't go down in value its is 72" wide and 74" tall. some tape, missing one dowel the back was used to repair a small tear but it blends. Vintage Pulldown School Map wall America Retro pull down colors NR
This is one of 2 listed but this one has no dowels Its big about 7' wide and 5 1/2' long. Lots of color detailed showing the Legends for Land sea and population(see Pictures) The map is in good to very good condition and will transform any room you hang it. Please keep in mind its almost a half century old and is not new. One customer asked me if a map had been in a smoke free home! Its a School Map how the heck do I know. All I could say is its been in dry storage for 30 years. Some of the maps have been repaired over the years and may have tape. How to Repair Old School maps The round dowel is cut in half by the manufacturer and the new map is simply glued or stapled to one halve and then screwed to the other. Its basically sandwiched between the two halves. They made them this way so the schools could do there on repairs. They ... moreprinted the maps on canvas with several inches below and above the map.This was done so the school could do the repair work. Most schools could not afford to buy another one or send it to the manufacturer for a tear to be fixed when it would tear they unscrewed it. Cut the section that had the tear and put it back together. Please keep this in mind the older maps that have been rolled up and stored. They need to hang for several days lay flat. Should your map not straighten out simply remove the screws reset the map.Trim it if necessary and screw it back At some point you may tear it and need to repair it. Now you know how.

VTG Pull Down School Map Pulldown Europe 17th Century VERY detailed Color
What a great old map! They don't get much more detailed than this Haack Gotha school map. Europe in the 17th century. There is a lot wrinkling a few areas need tape but from a few feet away the details hide most of the cracks. Cracks are on most of the older maps where the canvas separates from the print. I guarantee once its on the wall it will grab your attention. It's not perfect but its one of a kind.size is about 87" wide x 67" long missing one dowel but email me I may be able to find one

It was blind luck I found them. They had been in one of South Carolina's warehouse facility's for years. Now 521 have been shipped to 15 countries and the US. The condition is good to very good with some fraying on canvas edges. The top of map just needs to be placed back between dowel rod. easy to do. The usual wrinkles found on the canvas maps most of which smooth out after the map hangs. It may take a few weeks or more depending on humidity temperature etc. ... morelots of detail beautiful colors.a classic. Measures about 86" wide and 66" long. Wood dowels all original.

Old VTG Pull Down School Map Europe Classroom Wall Detailed In German Canvas
This is one of several really large German School maps printed on canvas. it has areas that need tape and a few areas where the print has pealed off of canvas if it were my map.that is to say one I was keeping.I would trim several inches off at the bottom. Easy to do. 88" wide and the same length! The title is Europa im 17 Jahrnundert. never listed this one similar names but not the same map' the pictures show exactly what your considering purchasing I don't do repairs on the maps I just sell them.Actually I don't sell them they sell themselves I just take pictures and get out the way.
