Antique Firestone World Atlas (copyright 1942) prepared by Rand McNally
Recently purchased at an Estate sale in my area and now up for your auctioning pleasure is this antique 1940's FIRESTONE WORLD ATLAS. This is a beautiful antique atlas that contains 40 full color pages of double page maps and was especially prepared by Rand McNally. The very front cover does show some wear. Age and use but still has wonderful graphics and artistry, using colors that even after all these years are still rich and vibrant! It appears that someone had written(in pen) the names of two different people on this front cover but they are barely noticable. Do notice, however, the headline on the paper that the boy's father is reading, Big Allied Advance On! This is not surprising after seeing that this atlas has a copyright date of 1942. Inside the front cover, you have the Table of Contents and below that, you have the Gazetteer-Index ... moreof the World for that time period. Move to page 1 and you will see a penned drawing of a cat as well as a penned date next to it which says, DEC. 1, 1947. Some of the pages have become unstapled from the binding. However, they are all accounted for. Pages 13-16 have small tears on the very bottom edge. Pages 25-28 have the same issue but it is confined to the very edge of the sides. The maps are in fantastic conditions. Gorgeous colors used to represent countries and their borders. NOTE some of the names of some countries back then such as the Dominion of Canada or French West Africa. Page 40 contains all of the Principal World Cities including the 1940 U.S. Census Figures and latest Foreign Estimates for this time period. The last page contains Factual Information of the World, Motor vehicle Statistics, Water Power Statistics, Highway Mileage, Telegraph& Telephone Stats and Chief Agricultural Products of Principal Countries.The rear cover is a map which shows(by markers) where are Naval Bases, Yards and Stations were located, our Army and Navy Air Bases, Marine Barracks, Submarine Bases, Destroyer Bases, Joint Control Bases and Major Foreign Naval Bases are loca

I got this at a clean smoke free collector auction. the globe measures approx: 16 inches high. 12 inches wide and 12 inches deep. The globe is in very good condition for a vintage globe. The seams are all good but some show signs of wear but actually add to its look. This globes displays very well as a vintage globe. There are a few very small and minutes stains or smudges but they are very small. 1957 TWA Airlines - Passenger Tickets, Baggage Check Receipts & Rand McNally Map
This lot features vintage TWA Airlines items. First. Is a map copyrighted 1956, Trans World Airlines, Inc. with the route maps copyrighted by Rand McNally. Map is folded but in nice shape. On the reverse side it states this is a souvenir of your TWA journey. Second, is a TWA Airlines packet that contains a passenger ticket receipt leaving the US arriving in Italy, the second receipt is coming back. It also has a baggage receipt, some kind of ticket stapled to the passanger ticket(boarding pass? and a seat ticket with a pin going through it on the front. Everything dated 1957!

This is for Rand McNally Junior Elf Book. It is in almost perfect condition a little wear to the cover but the inside looks like new. If I read the Roman Numerals right the date is 1949. 1907 Rand McNally Map of New Hampshire & Vermont
Offered here is a page from a vintage 1907 Rand McNally Atlas. Page 31 shows a map of New Hampshire. Page 32 shows a map of Vermont. Both maps identify each county's area within the state by a different color. Size of the entire page is 11" x 14"size of the map itself is 9" x 12" Condition is quite good.some general age toning around the borders.also. Please note the page is somewhat larger than my scanner, therefore portion(s) of the map might appear to be somewhat truncated.but, it is not. Map will be sleeved in plastic. Shipped first class to the United States with backer board in a large flat envelope. If you wish the map to be shipped in a mailing tube, please add another $2.50 for shipping and handling. This is a map produced by Rand McNally. I cannot find a copyright date on this map. But I would guess 10+ years old. This map comes mounted on a spring roller. With a wood dowel at the end. This map is an elementary-age map, designed for students up to fifth grade. There are three layers to this map. The top layer is a political map of the world. The map number is#12127. The second layer is a political map of the United States. The map number is#12118. The third layer is a political map of Alaska and Hawaii. The map number is#1218. The map is listed as"markable. which means it can be marked with a dry erase marker and then wiped off. This map does show wear from general classroom use. However. There are no major defects, and this map is in good condition. This map would make a great addition for a traditional classroom. Homeschool, or ... morejust a design for your home. Large 1895 Philadelphia pocket map-Rand McNally-Green's Hotel
This is a pocket map of Philadelphia. PA, dated 1895 and published by Rand McNally& Co. The cover has come apart at the seams so it is in 3 pieces but the map is in excellent condition except for a couple places it has separated at the fold. The map measures about 21" x 27" and was a souvenir from Green's Hotel which is pictured on the cover.
