Vtg Lighted Rand McNally Physical Political Nova Rico World Globe Florence 1982
Here is a vintage Rand McNally Physical Political Lighted Globe. Technology and design by Nova Rico. Florence, Italy, dated 1982. It is a hard plastic ball covered in brightly colored printed plastic. The light in the globe can be accessed by pulling apart the two poles. A switch on the cord lights up one 25 watt candelabra bulb. There are a couple nicks along the equator, and at the poles, the plastic shows splitting when it is lit. This 1970 Rand McNally and Co. with illustration by J. Stanley Wilson that reads" Compliments of Disabled Veterans" fold out educational poster is 18 inches length by 24 inches wide. it does not appear to have been opened much and it also looks like no one ever opened it fully to the point of laying it flat. It only appears to have mild wear on the fold and edges with no tears. The one side is history of Lincoln's life with colorful cartoon illustrations and the other side is the Gettysburg Address written in the following nine languages: 1. American. 2. Hebrew, 3. This is a set of 2 Rand McNally Atlas Maps of'Yukon' Mackenzie' These were professionally done by Art Source International(A.S.I. The atlas maps are from a 1937 Rand McNally Atlas. I do not know the year these were framed. The same style sells online from proffessional retailers for hundreds of dollars each. These look great and have a scrolled dark wood frame and use Tru Vue Conservative Glass. This set will be shipped very well packed and insured. The size of each is 15" X 18" with hanger wire in place for secure hanging. The'Yukon' map is 18" high by 15" wide when hung. The'Mackenzie' map is 15" by 18" when hung. This vintage globe is in good condition. The stand is excellent. And I don't see any rust. The globe has some yellowing around the equator, probably where glue bled through over time. As Israel is recognized as a country; serial number is A-510000-215-7-8-9-16AP. The ruler in the photos is a YARDSTICK. The map measures a whopping 52" w x 33 3/4" H. In full color. Coated laminated paper with some rips along the left and right edges. A few pin holes from thumbtacks. On the upper right hand corner. The map has started to separate from the plastic header. There are 2 small metal loops from the top header from which to hang the piece. In good condition despite it's age. Not too many wrinkles.but always rolled, never folded. Large 1895 Philadelphia pocket street map-Rand McNally-Green's Hotel
This is a pocket map of Philadelphia. PA, dated 1895 and published by Rand McNally& Co. The cover has come apart at the seams so it is in 3 pieces but the map is in excellent condition except for a couple places it has separated at the fold. The map measures about 21" x 27" and was a souvenir from Green's Hotel which is pictured on the cover.
