With hundreds of place names not typically found on smaller maps and a level of detail approaching wall map. In VG condition. Light minor surface soiling. Will look very nice for display. Once framed a huge map. Not to be confused with the much more common small quarto format issues of similar titled maps. Sheet size measures c. 28" W x 20 1/2" H. Engraved area c.26 5/8" W x 18 1/2" H. 4609] Any defects along the sheet edges and in the margins may be seen in the photos. note: All old sheets of printed paper possibly have short edge splits. Each sheet has existed for a very ... morelong time and has probably been handled repeatedly in the course of it's existence. It has a history unique to it as an object. Most of the time any edge splits are short. Minor, insignificant and have been closed- either long ago or more recently with small pieces of archival tape. Most often these splits are trivial and easy to overlook visually. Basically, they would not significantly affect the piece adversely. The item is offered as seen. Measures 4 1/8 x 6 5/8 inches(not exact) Has all four covers plus 68 interior pages. Including 31 pages of map index and 35 pages of all sorts of cool advertising. But guess what? no fold-out map! In fact, there is no sign that a map was ever there in the first place. So I am inclined to call the map“omitted” rather than“missing. I rate the condition of the covers and inside pages as about 75% original, with some tiny dog-ears on a few pages and a bit of wear on the covers. The triple-staple binding is intact with no sign of corrosion and holding all of the pages. Please see the photos to get a better sense of the shape of this document. Condition: Very Good- there was a thin strip of red tape that was removed that left some tear impressions once pulled off. A few other scratches and a portion where the paper is lifting. Early-Mid 1970's Rand McNally World Portrait Globe
This globe has seen better days but is still great for a Collector.Teacher or an avid fan of history. I would date the globe between 72-75 as Bangladesh declared independence in 1971 and North and South Vietnam did not fully unite until 1976.As stated this globe is not in mint with paper loss,holes and seems to dirty on the globe itself and the bottom of the base. Vintage 12 Inch 1982 Rand McNally Nova Rico Italy Lighted Globe
Up for auction is a very nice vintage Rand McNally globe designed by Nova Rico and made in Italy. The globe is dated 1982. It has a very nice look and color either lit up or not. It is all plastic with a black base. There is one small pinpoint flaw just off the coast of China north of Taiwan which can be seen in the third photo. Other than that no other flaws and in great looking condition. Thanks for looking!
