I am listing some items that came from a travel scrapbook from 1929. The individual went on an American Express Club Tour thru the scenic west. They traveled to National Parks; towns; and then into Canada. There are photos and brochures; etc. from along the way. I have tried to put like items together but I can't say for certain whether some photos will be mixed with other areas from the tour. These have been removed from the scrapbook so they do show signs of wear including residue from the scrapbook with some tears; trimming and such. Hi again. this is an amazing book. almost a hundred years old. complete and in very good condition. it was published by the. new york central lines. called the industrial directory and shippers guide. 1920- 1921 the book is complete and the binding is fairly tight. only one torn page and it is a ships advertising page. the first page in the book. it is torn in half. But i am not going to tape it together. i do not have that special book ... moretape here. the book lists many other railroad lines. terminals. many maps that fold out to show the tracks in various states. it explains packing for rail service. steamship lines. problem freight. how to ship cattle to chicago. fruit to new york. where to finance the freight. hundreds of towns being serviced by this and dozens of other railroad companies. lots of photographs. i can not begin to list all the info available to the customer in this 968 page volume. all you wanted to know about steam engines in the early 1920's. incredible advertising of the period. pages and pages of it. customer locations and factories. a history of the major towns on the various routes. even some into canada. the book is very clean and i do not see pencil of fountain pen marks in it anywhere. it is a rare find and i just got it at a wonderful estate auction in wabash indiana. there is so much info in this book that my brother could only take a few pictures of it. random pictures showing some of the fold
