Hopkins, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Maps this early and showing this much detail of Washington D.C. are VERY SCARCE. The map has fantastic coloring to it. Lots of color coding to represent various attributes(white/stone building. Pink/brick building, yellow/frame building, if it looks like an envelope/a stable or shed, and black& white dotted/green house etc. Map in generally good condition(not perfect but pretty nice condition) Some browning and small chips or creases at edges. Map is blank on the reverse side. There is a crease up the middle where it was originally bound. The map has some small tears and chips around the edges. A brown square stain can be found on the top right edge and the top left edge of the map. Caused by the original binding. There are a few pencil marks left by a previous owner. There are some creases in the paper, but they do not affect the map, as well as some other stains here and there. Some other dings here and there. This map is a great piece of Washington. Wisconsin atlas/plat book that been taped on the spine, with some separation, some soiling, some chipped pages(insect bites, pressed flower damage, and some taped tears. The covers have some peeling. On the positive side.it is complete with 55 pages, 40 of which are township maps(complete) most of which are colored, 5 pages of Patrons Directory. There is some soiling and a seriesof small holes on various pages, but this book has been around almost 120 years and still has a lot of informative maps and Patron's holdings of a previous century. DESCRIPTION: I am pleased to be offering this original vintage 1912 Burleigh County ND North Dakota atlas plat book by George A. Ogle that is complete and loaded with so many names and related history of all the townships in the county. Be sure to check photo's closely and read entire listing! This is a piece of history that is a must for any serious collector of Burleigh or ND items. I went through all 163 pages and no missing pages except for maybe a blank one in back, includes many towns and city plats, there are 6 full pages for the town of Bismark alone, other places or divisions include Menoken, Brittin, Driscoll, Moffit, Chapin, Fort Rice, Regan, Sterling, South Wilton, River View, Magnus, Wing, Baldwin, Langhorne and McKenzie. There are nice layouts for the towns listed along with each of the townships, colors are still very nice ... morefor this age, plus there is a full county map, a ND map, US and world maps, an advertising directory along with many photo's of the business owners, there are a couple pages that show some families, farms or business places, there are some pages in back telling about the US Civil Government, general info on banking and business, and ending with a number of pages with timeline dates for many countries. The book has cover issues which includes a detached front cover. But they really did their job pretty well in keeping most pages in pretty fine shape overall with nice clarity and pages are still intact to the spine. Clearly marked and dated as shown in photo's, the book measures 17.75" tall by 15.25" wide, like mentioned, the covers took the wear with corner issues, dust soil, general ageing and discoloring along with tears to the covering of the covers and old repairs to spine surface. Many of the pages have standard age tanning to the outer parts. Many are still in nice shape structure wise with no tears, there are some with a split or have corner bumps, some pages with small chips at the outer edges, moderate discoloring or tanning and small dings to the pa

Cover indicates the book was published“Compliments of Marathon City Brewing Co. and there’s an ad inside for Marathon Superfine Beer. Cover has a 3” tear on the spine and there are smudges and wear from handling. I came up with the date based on an advertisement that quoted a figure from 1960 sales.
