Each map is an original from the producer and not a reproduction. There is only one of each for sale. The maps are carefully and professionally mounted on what appears to be cotton or linen cloth. I will. As always, pack these carefully. They will be sent flat and will require a signature for pick up to protect your investment. Many are original National Geographic maps. They seem to range from the early to late 1920’s– 40’s. They are beautiful if I do say so and that is why I grabbed them originally. My kids are grown now and we no longer use them for educational purposes. So. Off they go. Will it be to you? Please carefully review the pictures and judge for yourself. The atlas is the first to compile and show in detail the various counties, cities and towns of Kansas. The maps show much details including towns, townships, sections, quarter sections, schools, some houses and other details. On some maps there are surveryor seals, signatures and script that were printed in the plate, many of these maps were originally procured from the Kansas Survey offices and reproduced for the atlas. The maps were first printed by lithographic process and then the color washes were hand applied, often with stencil for the large fields of color. The map is not mounted, matted nor framed being sold as seen in the pics, photographed against a dark background. There are maps and town plans on both sides as seen, so if framing one would have to choose a side to frame. Overall, a very nice rare example in very good condition for its age. Size: The entire page measures 14 by 17 1/2 inches with the map image area slightly smaller as shown in the pic with a margin all around. Condition: It is in Very Good condition for its age printed on a light buff page and original handcoloring as issued. It is basically as seen in the pics. Other than some light wear around the edges. This is the beginning of The Mall area, just at the bottom of this map and is part of the Smithsonian Area. The Pennsylvania Baltimore and Potomac Railroad Station is no longer on 6th Street(it is now part of Union Station) This block on the map is now occupied by The National Gallery of Art, which runs from 7th Street to 3rd Street. The Federal Trade Commission now sits in Area 461 and Louisiana Avenue(upper left hand corner of map) is now called Indiana Avenue. The Metro Police Station and the DC Superior Court are now located from 6th Street to 3rd Street in the entire areas marked 490 and 533 on this map and the US District Court now sits on the RES.10 area on this map. This lot is for the 2 grain/feed bags in the photo. Both are made of heavy canvas. Not burlap. Most all of the few dates that I can find on any of the bags are from the 1930's and 1940's. Dimensions of most bags are around 20 inches by 4 feet. Many bags in these lettered lots, but NOT all, also have the Bemis logo on the reverse side too. It retains the minimum face value of $1 as legal tender but as a mint-state. Uncirculated, certified 1976 Ike coin the 2014 Red Book suggests a value of 5 times that. The photos are of the actual coin being offered and is intended to give a clear indication of its condition. As this coin has been in circulation for almost 40 years a sealed business strike is a valuable addition to your collection and is proof that this coin has not been cleaned or circulated and is truly in mint state by virtue of the mint cellophane sealed package.
