Adorable Pair of Vintage Dachshund Dogs Chewing on a Stack of Books Bookends. They were made by Philadelphia Mfg. Co. and each still has its original label on the red felt bottom. A product of the finest American Craftmanship" They are quite heavy. Solid and have wonderful detail. The finish appears to be a brass applied lacquer. In very good condition- there is no damage. The finish has aged patina spots in a few places; if you examine the images closely you will see the spots I refer to. I have not attempted to clean these. Since many prefer the look of untouched age patina. Each one is about 5" high with a base of 4 1/4" x 2 3/4" They weigh just under six pounds~!

Fresh from a Pennsylvania Estate. I am offering this Klemm Brothers of Philadelphia Bugle. Composition is copper. It is approx. 16 3/4" long with a 5" bell. It has minor dents of which I have provided photos. There is also minor dents around the rim of the bell. The Klemm Brothers came from East Prussia early in the 1800. They started making instruments in 1819 until 1897 under the Klemm Bros. name. Please note the early marking on the bugle. It is marked" Klemm Bro. Phila. The sheet measures 11.5 x 16.5 inches in size. And is in very good condition, with slight age browning and a little roughness along the edges. The illustration presents a great dramatic scene of the Delaware River near Philadelphia encased in ice. As an ice-breaking steamer, with smoke belching out its stacks, forcing its way through the blockage, followed by three other ships in its wake, while people watch from the icy shore. The title of the print is given above. On the reverse side of the page is a related article titled“Fighting the Ice in the Delaware. This is 45 lines of text.
