The map is generally in Very Good condition. There is some wear and browning along the edges. There are some creases and small tears around the edges of the paper. But they do not extend into the map area. There are tears along the left side where it was originally bound. A darker stain is on the right edge and other dings here and there, as well. This map is a great piece of US history! It will look very nice when framed. Please note that while I have included pictures of the front board of the Atlas and the Title Page from the Atlas this map was taken from. The map measures approximately 57” x 37” and it features the routes of all of the railroads that operated in the state during that time including the Pennsylvania Railroad. The Philadelphia Reading, the Lehigh Valley, the Baltimore and Ohio, the Beech Creek, and the Dunkirk and Allegheny. There are some tape stains where the seams were reinforced and some seam splits.
