Up for sale is a map of the townsite of Goldfield. Nevada, showing the surrounding area and school district. It was prepared August 29. 1907 and drawn by James H. Parks. This appears to be a smaller version of the original. Description: It measures about 12" x 11" The nearby towns of Jumbotown. Milltown& Diamondfield are shown, along with notable bluffs, the ice plant at the west of town, and railroads& roads. A nice piece from Goldfield's boom years. Wyoming, printed more than 117 years ago. The image area measures 44.5 x 32 cm[17-1/2" x 12-1/2" And the map is drawn on a scale of 1:125,000. Details include wagon roads, trails, and natural features, with contours at 100 foot intervals. The coverage area extends from Pilot Peak and the Montana border to Monument Mountain, and the exact longitude and latitude parameters are 109°30' W to 110°00' W and 44°30' N to 45°00' N. Among the specific named places and features on the map are the Absaroka Mountain Range. Nipple Mesa, Dead Indian Peak, Stinkingwater River, Sunlight Basin, Beartooth ... moreButte, Hurricane Mesa, Hoodoo Peak, Clark Fork Canyon, and more. The map also labels the boundary lines of Bighorn County and eastern edge of Yellowstone National Park.
