Please be aware that these National Geographic Maps are anywhere from 30 to 80 years old. They are printed on paper that is not acid free and in most cases have not been stored in the best way. So the maps you are buying will be in a condition that reflects both of these facts. The map you get may be worn or lightly torn along the fold lines due to the acidity of the paper and being folded for years. They may also be discolored or mottling spots again due to the acidity of the paper. The borders of the maps may also have small tears. Vintage 1914 School Pulldown Wall Map-United States -W & A K Johnston-Unrivaled
Here for sale is a vintage map published by W& A K Johnston in 1914 as part of the Popular America Edition Series. It came with several similar maps from the"Unrivaled Series" of 1914 published by Johnston. I obtained this map and 6 other maps from a collection of maps used in a one room school in Welch. Minnesota. The maps had a slight odor of age which has improved substantially since I took them out of their holder. The map measures about 38 by 48 inches. And has rollers on each end. The map has condition issues as shown in the photo. Including tearing and scraping, mostly along the bottom, and along the extreme edges. There are some small tears in the map too. Map has some staining or darkening, again mostly along the bottom, and could use a cleaning. There is a vertical crease in the center of part of the map and some light ... moretearing there also. Please see the photos to observe condition. The colors on most of the map are nice, and so some restoration would be helpful. I will be happy to combine shipping upon multiple purchases.
