Muddy conditions for the first and freezing temperatures for the third game doomed future contests. 1944: Some consider the New Year's Day bowl Game of 1944(representing the 1943 season) to have been a College Division/Minor bowl game. Both rosters were made up of varsity players from ranked teams in the 1942 season. This was possible because both schools were participants in the WWII V-12 program. Lafayette Commemorative Pitcher 1824 Washington Richard Hall & Son RARE
Early 19th c Creamware Lafayette Commemorative pitcher made in Hanley England by Richard Hall& Son 1824. Age cracks as shown with a tiny hole created by the loss of one of several tiny stone inclusions. This is a wheel thrown item with a applied cast handle. One small chip on the thumb rest of the handla as shownOld style transfers with hand painted black enamel on the handle. Lip, and spout. The glaze is full of pitting and imperfections. Some of the age cracks go through the body. This is absolutely the original and not a later copy. Note the space between"in and"the" on the motto of commemeration of the visit of Gen. Lafayette to the U.S. in 1824. The handle also has the rather flat thumb rest.About 4 1/2" tall. This is a museum piece. Early Americana From the estate of artist illustrator and educator Mary Win Norris.

There are three chips on one end of the lid(two on one side and one on the other) and a small one on the other end. Vintage Lafayette Criterion 400R A.M.-F.M. Cassette
Not working. A Fixer UPPER. This is decades old and I was going to toss it but then I thought maybe there are some tinkerers out there who like to fool around with these old radio\ cassette recorders. I am just about giving it away for the price of the postage( and maybe fishing for some positive feedback) except that it is so darn heavy. Probably 7 or 8 Lbs, that the postage is going to be a good few bucks. There is just nothing I can do about that. I do not have a power cord for it, but it takes a standard cord you can get anywhere or probably even have hanging around. I plugged one of mine in and surprisingly got some crackly A.M. reception. Not something you would want to really listen to though. The fun is going to be in the fixing it up isn't it? I have no clue if the cassette components work or not. Also, the topmost section of ... morethe antenna is broken off and the battery compartment has corrosion on the contacts and will need to be cleaned. Lafayette On March 27. 1758, Heman Swift was commissioned by Thomas Fitch, Governor of Connecticut, first Lieutenant, Ninth Company, under Co l. David Worcester. For the invasion of Canada and served through the French& Indian War. Heman Swift enlisted on June 20. 1776, served with General Gates around Fort Ticonderoga in 1776 and was the Colonel who commanded the 7th Regiment of Connecticut Line in the Continental Army in 1777 though 1781. At the Battle of Brandywine. September 11, 1777, Col. Swift removed his sash to wrap it around the waist of a wounded General Lafayette. See image above. This is a vintage Lafayette Echo Verb II two channel spring reverb unit. The unit is sold AS IS/ FOR PARTS. It h as instrument and microphone inp uts as well as a footswitch in put. Sep arate knobs for the mic and instrument in put level and a knob for the reverb leve l. When work ing well. It produ ces an awesome classic old school spring reverb sound. The unit was tested and few issues were found: One of the two microphone input jacks is missing. see photo) One of the two instrument input jacks doesn't seem to pass signal. The unit creates a lot of buzz and it will require some rewiring in order to get the unit working properly. You need to crank up the reverb knob in order to really hear the reverb level working. Vintage Lafayette Wood Clarinet BLP France Ser No 804 with Unique Old Case
Clarinet looks to be in fair old condition. On the clarinet it says Lafayette Paris France and Paris France in another place. Serial No is 804 and BLP France is in two places. All springs work good to lift pads. It needs new cork on joints on all joint except for joint at bell end.and probably new pads. There is a small nick and a hair crack that I pictured on section above mouth piece. It is made of wood. It measures 26 1/2" long and bell measures 3" It has a unusual case and I do not know if it was custom made or original. Vintage Calrad 100-C crystal blues harp mic microphone pair argonne lafayette
Nice pair of calrad 100-C crystal mics. Usual assortment of scrapes due to age. These were the japanese equivalent to the shure slim crystal microphone of the era. These have a great biting tone and presence. Easy to cup! Total disclosure: output on one is excellent. The second sounds great but the output is low. In the tradition of mics of this era the on/off switches do not function, just permanently on. Cable is included and functions just as it should. If you have questions feel free to contact me. When President Lincoln was assassinated. Gen. Baker lead the pursuit of the murderer and was present at his capture and death. Died in pa. in 1868 Frank Leslie pioneered the use of illustrations in newspapers. Precursors of documentary photography. These pictures gave Leslie's readers a sense of immediacy by enhancing the text of the battlefield reports he published in his national weekly. The pictures were produced from sketches made of actual battle scenes by the roving artists Leslie commissioned. From their pencil drawings Leslie and his team created wood engravings for the printing process. These images create an almost photographically vivid description ... moreof the panoramas. Battle tactics, uniforms, and personages of the war. I have been selling these matted and shrink wrapped in my store and at shows. Now that I have retired I'm just moving inventory out at low low prices. Some of these have sold for a good sum. Depending on subject matter. Some are selling for over $150.00 framed right now on the net. Taken from Frank Leslies Illustrated History of the Civil war. Done in the late 1800's. Will look great framed. We try to save every page or picture possible in the rescue of these 100+ year old damaged books. Very brittle with some edge fraying and typical foxing of paper this old. Power cord is rectangular, but has a couple key cutouts, so standard rectangular power cord won't work unless you modify it by making the cutouts. I just used a power cord that has alligator clips and carefully connected it while isolating the two clips with cardboard. Worked fine. Hit the power button and the clock immediately started turning, RECEIVE light lit up, frequency meter lit up and channel selector lit up. When I keyed the mike, the ON AIR light lit up. Looks like it can be used as a PA system also? has a CB/PA knob and has a PA on the channel selector. Has a PA, REG, ANT and TVI connector on back. Also has ANT LOAD adjustment. Sticker on back says Lafayette Radio Electronics Corp. Citizen Band Transceiver Model TELSAT-925. Stock No. 99-32856W. This is in super nice shape for being an older system, might need a quick cleanup with a little water, but looks good.
