WWI French Art Nouveau Art Deco WASHINGTON AND LAFAYETTE Medal Description This silvered meda l was produced during WWI in 1917. The face depicts George Washington. The father of our country, and General Lafayette, the French military man who came to fight for our independence. It is signed Gaston Lavrillier. The medal appears to be made of silver, but I have been unable to locate a hallmark. The medal has a diameter of about 28 mm and a weight of 9 grams. F 3107) We have a large collection of medals. Lafayette (Univox) 1236 all tube head 1960s, around 30 watts with 2 6L6s
1960s tube amp. Lafayette(same as Univox 1236) amp in good condition. Works well. The amp calles for three 12AU7s and two 6L6s. Relatively new tubes that have plenty of life in them. This is a bass amp so it isn't a high amp. With 12AU7s you have to crank it up all the way to get overdrive and you need humbuckers. You can use 12AX7s to get more gain if that is what you are looking for. Sounds pretty good. Great clean sound. Changed knobs. This auction is for the head only. ITEM DESCRIPTION: This auction is for a historic blue-and-white transfer-printed Staffordshire plate made in Burslem. England at the celebrated pottery of Enoch Wood& Sons(1819– 1846) Part of a well-known series featuring shell-decorated borders, this plate is centered by an artist’s rendering of the ship“Cadmus, which famously brought the Marquis de Lafayette to America for his triumphal 1824-1825 return visit. A truly momentous event, Lafayette’s tour of the fledgling country was widely anticipated and wildly popular among the American people. Enterprising craftsmen, particularly in England, seized on this enthusiasm by producing an array of goods– ceramics, glass, textiles& etc. that not only depicted Lafayette’s likeness, but also memorialized the places he went and the various means of transportation he used, such as the“Cadmus. ... morePatriotic Americans gobbled up these largely imported mementos and cherished them enough to pass down through the ages. Creamer: Lafayette Pattern, by Regal China, Made in 1940's, Occupied Japan
This Creamer is made by Regal China. The pattern is'Lafayette' This is also marked'Made in Occupied Japan' The top edge of the pitcher; back edge of handle to lip of'spout' is approximately 5 1/2" long x side to side. 3 13/16" wide. The bottom'foot' is approximately 2 1/8" wide, outside edge to outside edge. The flowers in the border are all soft, true colors. The dark'red' color in the borders is leaning towards brown, but could also be called dark maroon. The inside edge on the pitcher is edged with gold; the outside edge of the pitcher is also lined with gold and the foot has a gold around its outside edge and there are wider lines decorating the handle. There is the cream border beneath the floral border; the white is very white and shiny. Damage: In the picture. Almost at the center ... moreof the flat. Topside edge, there is a tiny, tiny black dot just beneath the'leaf' border on the rim. This is a flaw in the glass, not damage.
