I did not test it any further, however. It is pre-owned, and it does have some minor scuffing and scratching, but nothing abnormal. The amp may be more than 10W, it used an interesting design where the 6BM8 tubes were both pre-amp and power amp tubes, plus worked with the12AX7 for tremolo. This sort of design is also seen in early Gibson amps. The cabinet it black vinyl with silver specks in it. The handle is more like an old suitcase than the standard Vinyl handles of most amps. The front Grill is kind of tan and brown weave, with a crome colored Univox logo in the upper left hand side(big U and then Univox in small letters slanting upwards and underlined) Heads were made in Japan as far back as 1965. These were made by Univox and sold under various names in the US this one being Lafayette out of Baltimore. I believe the only difference is the logo and grill cloth.

The horn uses a European sized shank mouthpiece(no mouthpiece included with this auction) The horn is Sold As Is and will need repairs to be p layable. The leadpipe is not attached to the valve section and will need repair(see picture with arrow) It has dents and worn lacquer throughout as you can see. The largest de nts are on the bell and a round the back area as you can see. The horn could use a good cleaning and polishing. The bell is 11" in diameter and the horn is about 23" long. The 3 valves function properly and move freely in the cylinder. They need to be cleaned. The tuning slides are stuck. Please see all of the pictures to judge the condition for yourself. Lafayette Telsat 1240 beautiful in box with two microphones and extras-Classic!
You are bidding on a Lafayette Telsat 1240 40 channel AM solid state CB Base Station that was unused or maybe used once and put back in the box and has everything like new. Runs on 110 volts or 12 volts. All cables. Paperwork, manual and accessories go with it. I also include a second microphone that has power and echo effect too. This is as close to new as you can get. VINTAGE LAFAYETTE CASSETTE PLAYER/RECORDER (AC-DC)
This is a vintage LAFAYETTE MODEL RK-86A Portable Cassette Player. I do not have the AC cord or michrophone for this. I tested it with 4C batteries and it worked fine. Some scratchiness as expected adjusting the volume and tone controls. Nothing major a little shot of contact cleaner should clear it right up. Needs a good dusting off but cosmetically nice. No chips or cracks that I can see, the battery cover is present and the battery compartment is spotless.Battery/Record meter is working also. Heavy well built unit made in Japan.
