HUGE LOT OF KNEX PARTS SORTED AND BAGGED
The parts bagged up and in the box weigh about 34 pounds. There is one bag of mixed rods that have quite a few of them bent from use. On the sorted ones only a few of the longer ones are bent. On the rest of the parts I picked out a few damaged pieces and could of missed a few, otherwise they just show marks from use. There are a couple of bags with mixed oddball parts, could be a few that are not Knex but seemed to fit so I left them in. There are 3 working motors, will be shipped without batteries. There are a couple bage with wheels. Some are tires without rims and some are rims without tires. The first picture shows everything piled up. then I split them up. Some of the pictures have one piece outside of the bags to show what is in there.

I decided to spend last week on a mini buying trip- visiting all my contacts in the North of England and Southern Scotland. I managed to find some beautiful Victorian and Edwardian items– amongst other treats, a collection of silk shawls, fabulous buttons, Victorian christening gowns from an estate in Northumberland, and some stunning hand stitched Durham quilts. I also had a delivery from France, so February begins with a rather splendid mixture of French, Scottish and English treasures… enjoy browsing! A superb antique French 19th century pure fine linen dowry or trousseau sheet. Hand embroidered with the letters- Ll- in finely worked raised satin stitch( plumetis) ... moreSheets such as this were often commissioned by wealthy families- made by nuns in a local convent for the wedding of a daughter. This is a very large sheet measuring 234cm wide x 342cm long. Freshly laundered with no marks. Stains or damage. It is not pure white- bleach destroys the long linen fibres and was never(and should never be) used when laundering linen sheets. If you have a Farrow& Ball colour chart it most closely resembles colour No. 2004- Slipper Satin. The huge, beautifully hand embroidered monogram is 35cm wide, and is intertwined with grape motifs(a symbol of fertitlity) The whole top edge of the sheet is also hand embroidered with high relief scalloped detailing. Fabulous embroidery work!
