Though I suspect this may have been produced later than that, as there are references and indications on the plans for the Great Western Railway which only came into being at the Grouping in 1923. There are four points of Reference to the bottom left corner(these are colour-coded individually on the map) Taff Vale Railway, Property Included In Amalgamation, Property Of Which Taff Vale Railway Company Are To have a 1/4 Interest, Property Included In Proposed Amalgamation Of 1884. There is also a large area for the Site Of New Steel Works. Also shown on the map are The Rhymney Railway, LNWR. I would grade the overall condition as good used. Has had a chunk knocked out of the rear base, below the crankguard. The flywheel size is 24" rather than the standard 28-1/4" indicating an earlier model engine. It does have a pin on the crank main bearing cap, indicating it originally had a fuel pump there. Later OLDS did not use a fuel pump. Rather using a double check valve on the fuel line as this would now be set up. Shown without the base under it. I have the base/gas tank for it. Selling the Olds engine only.
