Beautifully preserved all metal pen is free from dings. Spurious engravings or substantial wear to the gold fill apart from one area approx 10mm long by 3mm wide at the top of the barrel where the cap posts.It declares itself to be 1/10 by weight gold fill although the carat content is not specified I presume it to be 14KR. Welty's Chicago produced high quality pens easily a match for those of the major producers but are rarely seen nowadays which is a great shame. It has a Welty's 14ct manifold fine that is a smooth and pleasant writer. The pen has been cleaned of old ink. Serviced and fitted with a new sac. It has been in occasional use over the last three months and has proven to be a reliable, pleasant performer. Judging by the extra space in the Welty;s badged presentation box. This pen was originally accompanied by a long lost ... morematching pencil. If you can find one it will make a truly attractive set! This will make a very pretty conversation piece for the advanced collector or a delightful pen to use. It is certainly capable of regular use being built to exceptionally high standards.

Beautiful engraved and fully issued authentic Stock Certificate from The Nickel Plate- New York. Chicago and St. Louis Railroad Company issued in the 1950's/60's. This is an original certificate, not a copy or reproduction. I have two colors of this certificate available, one has an ornate red border(pictured) for less than 100 shares and the other is a green 100 share version. They both have the same vignette showing two allegorical figures on both sides of the famous Nickel Plate Road Logo. The color will be selected at random unless a preference is noted by the buyer. The certificate is in MINT condition- no folds, no tears and no stains. The certificate is punch cancelled and its value is that of a collectible. PrePro Rare C. Seipp's & O'Malley Cigar Mirror Chicago
You are bidding on an extremely rare PreProhibition Reverse on Glass Mirror. The top section reads: John F. O'Malley; Imported and Domestic Cigars" The Seipp's section reads"C. Seipp's. EXTRA PALE ON DRAUGHT" The bottom section has no printing, but appears to have been the lower portion of this three part sign. There are no manufacture marks indicating who made the mirrors themselves. The sections are mounted in an Oak frame that is about 3" wide. There are two separate sections about 3 1/2" high and 21" wide. Everything is stablized by a wood back shown in the last picture. The combined mirror has been put together in three parts integrating what was probably a side panel in a hotel. The full mirror measures 94" tall and 27" wide. The glass in top panel for O'Malley cigars measures ... more21 1/2" wide and 25" high. The C. Seipp's center glass measures 21 1/2 wide and 48" high. The lower panel measures 21 1/2" wide and 10" high. There are two damaged areas as shown in pictures 5 and 6. Trim pieces cover any damaged so it is not visible. The top left corner of the O'Malley section has a nicked corner(see red in picture 5) The lower panel has a nicked left upper side as shown in the picture. The person who designed the three part sign provided for a fill strip around the glass in the upper panel and lower panel. The Seipp's panel does not show any damage. The sign could be broken down into two or three mirrors if size was a problem. The Conrad Seipp Brewing Company never reopened operations after Prohibition. This would date the mirror from the 1880's to maybe about 1917 or so. The John F. O'Malley cigar operation is from an unknown city. There were several O'Malley's that were prominent in the Chicago area at the turn of the century. The mirror finish is near perfect. World's Fair Chicago 1934 Souvenir Glass Plate Red Orange Sandwich Pattern Etched P urchased recently at an antique show in Columbus. Ohio, is this lovely souvenir plate that was etched"World's Fair 1934" The world's fair located in Chicago in 1933 and 1934 was named"A Century of Progress International Exposition" T he dealer that I purchased the plate is nearly sufficiently old to have been there but not quite. He does specialize in world's fair memorabilia and advised that the etching was consistent with what he has seen. H e mentioned that his parents lived in Chicago and Springfield. Illinois, prior to his arrival in this world. His father had been an FBI agent and participated in the hunt for a number of notorious 1930's era bank robbers. They did visit the fair but this plate does not come from ... morethem. T he plate is red orange glass in a"Sandwich" Pattern made by Indiana Glass. I assume that Indiana Glass may have had a booth making glassware at the fair and sold these etched plates. The company started to make this"red" color in their Sandwich pattern in 1933. T he plate is 8 1/4 inches wide. Condition: T he plate has one small 1/8 inch long but shallow chip and one tiny rough spot on the plates rim. Otherwise. This plate that is about to entered into it's ninth decade is free of damage except for the small chip and rough spot on the rim. I assume that the original owner/buyer passed the dish on to the next generation of family who packed it away for 60 or 70 years and only recently has been unearth to see the"light of day" in many a moon.
