The page is stilll very pliable. Not brittle, basically as seen in the pics. There are a couple of nicks on the edge, light damp staining in the margin and some darkening around the edges, otherwise it is very clean with strong color, see the pic for a better idea of the condition. I have for auction a vintage Fish food container. It reads American 3 Vees Natural Fosh Food from the American Bird Products Inc. from Chicago Ill. USA. It has a tin top with pull up opening and a tin bottom but I believe the sides are cardboard. This is very colorful and neat. I do see some denting on the backside bottom see pics. This is a very nice vintage circa 1940s cardboard mustache that was given to patrons.on Gay 90s night at the Casino Parisien. A nigtclub that was housed in the Morrison Hotel in Chicago. It looks unused, measures about 4 1/2" end to end, and features the club's name on one side. Overall very nice shape. Uncommon piece of Chicago history. Interesting fact about the Morrison- it oppened in 1925 and was demolished in 1965. When it opened, it was te first building outside of New York over 40 stories, and in 1965, was the tallest building in the world to be demolished. As per ebay rules. We only accept paypal. A CHICAGO INSURANCE COMPANY sign. It has 2.5" tall gold plated letters painted on a peice of glass and then covered with black paint. It is in a cherry wood frame that measures 24.5" X 19.5" with a 1.5" border. The frame had been screwed to the wall previously with holes on both sides. The upper right corner has a circular stain(see photo) What made it and if it can be corrected. I have no idea, but I bet it could. Outside of that small sin, the sign looks very professional looking.

1950s Villa Sweden Restaurant Menu Chicago 5207 N Clark St (now Ann Sathers) IL
This auction is for an original menu from the Villa Sweden Restaurant which was located at 5207 N. Clark Street in Chicago. The menu doesn't list the address. But does mention that the Villa Sweden Bakery is just one block north on Clarh St at 5314 N. Clark. 5207 N. Clark is currently an Ann Sather restaurant. The menu measures 8-1/2" x 10-1/2" and is on card stock with laminated exterior cover. Not dated, but this has a Smorgasbord price of $2.00 and I found a newspaper archive with a 1959 price of $2.25 for the smorgasboard, so this is from before 1959. This has the"Thursday Dinner at the Villa Sweden" insert card which is attached with a rusty paper clip at the top which has left an indentation and a rust mark on the opposite page. The menu is in good condition- it has some light dirt on thec oevrs- there is a paper ... moreclip indentation on both covers- there is a small stain on the left inside page in the upper left corner- there is a stain along the right edge of the right inside page- there are couple light creases. Vintage 1890's Stationary Engineer's License Chicago embossed seal old antique
Up for sale is a very old Stationary Engineers License from the city of Chicago. It measures 11 3/4" by 9 7/8" and is made from some sort of cloth material. It has an embossed seal on the lower left. It is faded and difficult to read but it has a place for the date and is the 1890's. I've never seen any like this and it is impressive. This auction is for an original store advertising poster for Oakite"Cleans a Million Things" The poster has a photo of Don Ricardo"The dashing singing Oakite Troubadour who sings over Station WBBM every Monday and Friday 10:30 am" To the customers of the store: Want me to sing Your Favorite Song for you on the radio? All they had to do was send a letter to WBBM and request a song. The poster measures 14" x 21" and it is printed on paper. No date on the poster. But judging by the Oakite package this is probably from the late 1930s or 1940s. The singing troubadour is pictured next to a microphone which has the CBS logo and a package of Oakite. The poster is in very good condition- it has creases from being folded into quarters(probably how it was sent to the stores back them) it is lightly yellowed with age- there ... moreis a minor small split in the center(which can be seen if held up to the light) there is a light smudge to the right of the photo- there is light dirt on the folds. Antique 1880 Cyrus McCormick Envelope/cover Chicago Ill. with 3c postage stamp
Antique envelope addressed to the famous"Cyrus McCormick Chicago Ill" with a postal mark on the front of the envelope from"New York. May 18, 5 PM, 1880" and a postal mark on the back of the envelope from"Chicago Ill, May 20, 7 AM, Carrier" It has a 3c postage stamp. The envelope was opened from the left end. There is no letter included. The envelope is addressed in fancy fountain tip pen. It shows some soiling from handling and storage but nothing ugly. There are no creases in the envelope. This is a nice piece of history. Cyrus McCormick History: Cyrus McCormick was born February 15. 1809 in the of Virginia as one of several sons. His father purchased the original design for a mechanical reaper from a blacksmith named McPhetrich. citation needed] As the elder McCormick saw the potential of the design. He applied ... morefor a patent to claim it as his own invention. He worked for 28 years on a horse-drawn mechanical to harvest grain; however. He was never able to reproduce a reliable version. His son Cyrus took up the project. 3] He was aided by. An on the McCormick at the time. 4] A few machines based on a design of of Scotland(which had not been patented) were available in the United States in these years. The Bell machine was pushed by horses. The McCormick design was pulled by horses and cut the grain to one side of the team. Cyrus McCormick held one of his first demonstrations of mechanical reaping at the nearby village of in 1831. He claimed to have developed a final version of the reaper in 18 months. 300+ 1946 CHICAGO TRIBUNE CARTOONS! Political, Holiday, Military, Patriotic!
Offered here are 300+ cartoons from the Chicago Tribune newspaper in 1946. Most are color. Only a very few black& white. Main artists are Orrd and Parrish. These were clipped from the newspapers and are in very good condition although there is some age yellowing. Each cartoon is about 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" Subjects are military, patriotic, holidays(Christmas and Valentine's Day) and political with a few miscellaneous mixed in. Buyer to pay mailing costs.
