Each year Syria Temple produced a glass to commemorate the Imperial Shrine Session that they were to attend. Syria Temple commissioned the United States Glass Co. to produce a different glass each year with a"theme" suited to the city that they were visiting. This glass was made for the Imperial Session that was held in San Francisco. California on June 10th, 1902. The base represents the Golden Gate, a San Francisco landmark before the famous Bridge was built. This glass stands at approx 5 1/4" tall and has an approx 2 1/2" diameter. Mason. Moise Klinker Co. Established in San Francisco California 1872, was among the first profitable businesses that made San Francisco what it is today. The company produced rubber stamps. Metal signs, and metal badges for the police, fire, and transit operators. Their metal badges are VERY sought after today. This VERY RARE set of wood with rubber stamps. Are money numbers- including 1/2, $. cent, and period. 14 stamps total, measuring 1.25" tall, 5/8" wide, and 3/4" deep. Contained in a black paper covered box with company logo stamp, and price tag of $.80. Box has minor rubbing on indented side tabs. Otherwise, very good condition!

This was my grandmother's Lyons Magnus hinged cedar box. So it was probably made in the late 1800's to early 1900's. Lyons Magnus has been in business since 1853, so it could even date back around then. She always used it for trinkets, etc. I have done a Google Image search and I've only see one other hinged box like it. So I'd say they are on the rare side. That one was selling for $121.00. The rims are a very pale yellow clear lucite. I believe. Not tested for bakelite, however. Overall Measure approx. 4-3/8" wide- widest area. The case is a hard case- has wear on edges. Vtg/Old/ Antique Cloth Doll Tagged "Handmade in India S. S. SARNA San Francisco"
Up for auction is this r are old cloth doll from India. Imported by S.S. Sarna, San Francisco. This doll has it's tag and is clean however the gauze of the sari is quite worn/torn/frayed. There is what looks like intended paint loss in the very center of the eyes. Not sure if intentional though. Measures about 6 3/4" tall. Has a bead on her nose and beads sewn in as a necklace, also 2 bracelets in each wrist. Note the detail in the five separately sewn fingers on each hand. Happy bidding on this charming old doll.

Great negative. This is part of a collection of negatives by Christopher Helin. He was the photographer and automotive editor of the San Francisco Examiner from 1915 to 1935. These are professional shots and are large format. They can easily produce poster size prints. They are generally in good condition with light scratches on the emulsion side. Light chipping around the edges, etc. Most of this can barely be seen on the positive and can be photoshopped out. I will note and other damage beyond that.
