It is undated but from the late 1800's, this was found with a bunch of maps from Bacon's 1880's map book(which i have also listed) you are considering one map. The map shown, the paper is aprox 16 by 27 inches, with the printed map a bit smaller(as you can see in the pics) i do not have all the maps from this book, only a few, the scale of this is 4 inch to the mile. the paper is thin, and shows some edge wear, zoom in on the pics for good detail. 1958 Ford hay baler small 150 vintage antique books Fordson original tractor
Here is a very rare very original 1958 Ford hay baler. It is the smaller 150. I hear that the larger 250 was much more common. I bought it because I was so impressed with its original great condition. The guy I bought it from used it on a regular basis up untill a couple years ago. He used it for many many years and said it never sat out a night and I have kept it inside since I bought it a year ago. I am a white collar guy and just don't have time to play with it so it needs to go to a new home. I have pulled it on the road a lot and it rolls along just fine. I have never baled with it in the field but we fed it with a fork in front of the barn and it worked OK but not perfect. It may bale great if it was used like normal as the guy I bought it from said it always worked great after the first bale. Antique Books Lot of 2 by Nathaniel Hawthorne. Blue one is The House of the Seven Gables Arlington Edition and the Greenish one is The Great book of Recitations and Dialogues Three Volumes in One. Both published by Hurst Publishing Company. No Dates in either one except for the Preface in the Arlington Edition of 1851. However. That is from the original date of first printing and not when this book was first printed. These are probably early 20th centruy to the 1920s. All pages intact and connected. Paper is brown from age. Paper is thick. Spines are flexible and some of the pages at binding are not showing signs of loosening. Please refer to pictures for general condition. Both are showing signs of use and age that are common for books of this era. Check out my!

This is a set of 32 Harvard Classics from 1980. They are volumes of classic works from world literature. Compiled and edited by Harvard University president Charles W. Eliot and first published in 1909. Some titles included are: The Thousand and One Nights- Cervantes- Edmund Burke- Famous Prefaces- Milton Poems- Marlowe Shakespeare- Homer- Dana- Aeschylus Sophocles Euripides- Dante The books are bound with a dark red bonded leather cover. With raised bands, and gold lettering on spine and cover. The pages are tipped in gold, and have a satin ribbon page marker. The books are beautiful. They measure approximately 5.75" X 8.75" X 1.5" Most books are in good condition. The satin ribbon marker probably shows the most use. Few books have been worn due to age. Antique(not entirely sure of the date but probably late 1800s to early 1900s) books of Fairy Tales of Japan. There are three(3) books total and are Volume Two(2) Volume Three(3) and Volume Four(4) The covers of the books show wear and the spines are deteriorating but this does not detract from the inner content. The covers seem to act as protection for the books inside each volume which I believe were sold individually in multiple editions in the late!800s and early 1900s. The Woodblock print style artwork in these books are STRIKING and STUNNING and involve many supernatural creatures. These books are in remarkable condition considering their age. There are numerous plates in the books. They books appear to be covered in embossed velum. Damage as follows. Volume 1 cover is very dirty. Covering at spine edge is cracked on both sides but covers still solidly attached to book. One small cut in velum at top of front cover. Volume 2. There is some cracking along the edges of the spine edges. There is one minor worm hole in edge of the pages extending in less than 1/8” and ¼” long. There is small hole in the top of the binding. Lot of 3 antique books printed 1894-1927
Antique lot of three books printed from 1894-1927. From left to right-Twenty-Four Little French Dinners and How to Cook and Serve Them by Cora Moore first printing 1919 second 1920 and this copy is the third printing in 1923. Fair condition pages have aged in color but are not bent or torn. Though there are some foods penciled in the margins which I think gives it a little character, though they could be erased. Middle book is a first edition Comic Dialogues for Boys and Girls written by Carleton B Case. Published in 1927. It is in great condition as well, no bent or torn pages though they are slightly yellowed from age. Last book is Bible Stories for Little Children with the Approbation or Cardinal McCloskey. 2nd printing by Benziger Brothers in 1894. TWO ANCIENT WRITING ON PALM LEAF BOOKS- ANTIQUE MANUSCRIPTS- INDONESIAN. These came from an estate sale where they had been in the family for many years. I have no idea of their age but they are very old. On each of the pages/palm leaf strips is writing and on the reverse are drawings depicting what appear to be female warriors killing deer with bows& arrows and attacking other warriors. Some of the drawings are quite gory in that they show some unfortunates being decapitated. The wooden coverings at each end are lacquered wood. Each book is held in place with a thread through the center of the pages with an old coin at each end believed to be Chinese. The first book shows a story on the wooden outer cover which measures 46cm long& 4cm wide& has 19 pages. The second book which shows a design carved on the outer wooden cover measures ... more43cm x 3.5cm& has 20 pages. There is slight wear at a few ends of one book which do not detract from the drawings. I have included a selection of photographs showing both the covers& some of the illustrations& text. Antique Sorrento Dressing Table Box Welcome to my listing for Antique Italian Sorrento Ware Dressing Table Pin Box Late 19 th Century Polished Olivewood with an Inlaid Swallow Row of 11 Sliding Books In Excellent Condition L 5” 13cms x W 3.25” 8.5cms x H 1.75” 4.5cms A beautifully made and very charming little box. Dating from the end of the 19 th century. Designed for holding hairpins and hatpins on the dressing table. Still very useful even today(even if not for hatpins) Unlike much Sorrento ware this lovely little box was not aimed solely at the tourist market and so doesn’t have the name of an Italian town inked onto it. Super antique condition with minimal signs of wear as I hope you can see in the photos which can all be magnified to larger than life(some glare due to polished surfaces and magnification of the bird shows some white ... morelines around it- not visible with the naked eye) I’d guess that the box has been kept in a cabinet. There is a tiny sliver of wood missing from behind the row of books which would have locked the box when the row of books were slid into position. The wood. An Antique Rack of Wooden (Treen) Faux Books - English c 1850/1875
Offered- A very rare- very unique- English Antique Ra ck of Faux Books dat ing from the mid 1850s. Beautifully carved out of solid mah oga ny, each of the 8 Faux Books are titled and decora ted with individual carvings and gilt. The piece measures 12 inches acro ss and stands 6 1/2 inches tall. The books appear to have been hand carved and applied to a solid 1/2 inch thick piece of solid mahogany. Th ere are 3 1/ 2 inch sides that fold out and holds the piece upright. The color of this piece is a beautiful cognac. and the Gilt is still very bright. There are old worm holes- which only add to the char m of th e piece. A Fantastic find. Lot of 3 Vintage Antique Children's Picture Books
This listing is for a lot of 3 very old children's book that were purchased at an older estate auction. One book is called"Fuzzy Wuzzy Puppy" and was written by Florence Sarah Winship. It was published by the Whitman Publishing Co. in 1946. It has a pencil inscription on the front cover and the front cover is partially ripped at the binding. It shows some age but overall is pretty decent for being as old as it is. Another book is called"The Little Red Hen" and it's a picture story book. It was printed by the Abbott publishing company but does not show a year. By its looks I would estimate it's about as old as the first book. The last book is called The Picture and Rhyme Book and on the front it states it is"cloth like. It was published by the Saalfield publishing company in 1941. It shows age and has a ... morerip on the binding part way. All in all these 3 books are very decent examples of some very old children's book.
