This antique meat grinder is in amazing antique-y condition. It comes with two detachable blades. I believe it probably works still. Although. I have not tested it. This cast iron piece clamps onto a counter top with a c-clamp that works just fine. The wooden tipped hand-crank works smoothly as well. This grinder/chopper measures 11" long at its longest point. Listed is a vintage Universal No. 1 heavy cast iron meat/food grinder/ chopper with the fine cutter grinding blade. It appears to have brass plating because there is still a lot of brass visible as shown in photos. Just clamp it onto a kitchen counter. Table or chair seat, place a bowl underneath, crank the wooden handle and start grinding/chopping. Condition is very good. There is normal wear. Especially the brass plating, but no rust that I could find. I have not cleaned it other than soap and water because I do not know the right cleaner to use that will not harm it. vtg. Enterprise K-1978 meat food grinder chopper, cast iron hopper/auger/handle
Vintage Enterprise K-1798 meat or food grinder chopper. On the front of the stainless steel base it says"Enterprise" No clamp" On the bottom of the base it says"patents pending. Enterprise Mfg. Co. of PA. Philadelphia, U.S.A. Part No. K-1978" The base has 4 little round feet that would allow it to sit on a tabletop. The hopper, auger, handle, threaded ring, and grinding disc are cast iron. The cast iron handle has a black wooden handle. The diameter of the holes in the grinding disc is 5/32" It is 11" long, 5 1/2" wide and 6 1/2" tall. It is in good vintage condition except that it is dirty from storage for the past 30 years.
