Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE Up for sale is a vintage STANLEY BAILEY NO. 5&1/2. U.S.A. made SMOOTH PLANE. In what I would judge to be fine condition. However, I am no expert, so please review the pictures carefully and make that judgment for yourself. The plane is clean with a bright patina, some minor pitting, and minimal rust. The plane is made heavy to do the work without wearing out the user. This tool is completely usable with no obvious damage. The japanning is fine, with original wood and more than 80% of the original finish, with a smooth surface and edges slightly rounded. The maker's marks are clear and legible. There are two patent dates, Feb 25-02 and Aug 18-02. It’s in great condition for its age! This is a great addition to any collection! Don’t pass this one up!

Slight curve, likely went on one of their rock drill air comressors. The Ingersoll Rock Drill Company merged with the Sargeant Drill Company in 1888, with the company reformed as Ingersoll-Sergeant. This company merged with the Rand Drill Company in 1905 to form today's Ingersoll-Rand Drill Company. Beautiful patina on brass tag, and a great mining display piece. Tough to find. I found 3 patent dates on the trunk. The oldest is on the keyhole of March 1869 and April 1877 and May 1870 on the lid stay which makes this awesome old humpback as much as 136 years old- a true antique. This trunk was in good solid condition when the restoration started and the metal bottom is solid and the metal has been painted. There are two slats and four metal wheels on the bottom and the trunk rolls easily. The trunk has the two original hinges which are HD. Tight, fancy,work well and the lid closes well. It has 26 pieces of original polished hardware. Still has the original Star center lock which has been polished and there is no key. Old Antique Hendryx Fly Fishing Reel, 1916 - 18? Patent Dates, Working
Here's an interesting old or antique fishing reel with markings"Hendryx" and there are some patent dates that are very hard to read. Best guess is they seem to end in"16 and"18" so probably 1916 and 1918. It seems to be in good working condition and there are two buttons that seem to operate properly. The reel seems to be good overall with slight signs of use and age. It could use some light cleanup and a little polishing. It is somewhat hefty or heavy for it's size. The end caps are about 2.5 inches in diameter and the reel is about body is about 2.5 inches wide to lend a little scale to the pictures. Antique Trunk Beautifully Restored With New Tray & Six Patent Dates!
For sale today is a restored medium to large size metal clad steamer trunk and the restoration turned out just great. I found six patent dates on the trunk- April 1877 and March 1869 on the polished brass keyhole. March 1880 on the hardware, August 1882 and December 1882 on the inside of the lid and July 1872 on the latches which makes this great old humpback a 110 to 120 years old- a true antique. This trunk was in good solid condition when the restoration started. The bottom is solid and the metal has been painted. The trunk has the three original hinges which are heavy duty. Tight and work well. There are thirty plus pieces of polished original hardware. It still has has the original center lock which has been polished- no key. A new black leather lid lifter has been installed. The two original latches are there and one works and one does ... morenot. There are sixteen solid oak slats in a golden oak color on the trunk. This awesome old humpback has a custom made tray and the interior has been removed. All the metal is in VGC. It has four original metal wheels on the bottom and the trunk rolls easily. It still has the original lid stay and the lid closes well. Two new black leather handles were installed with new brass hardware. This awesome old humpback is 34.5W. 19D and 24H and weighs 46 lbs. This will be an oversize trunk when packed for shipping. The measurements for the trunk when packed and ready to ship will be 39W, 23D, 27H and will weigh 58 lbs. This will be an oversized package. I have never found another one like this that is missing the patents. All other Pontiac 250 reels I have found have two patent dates. This one does not. Wooden"brake/ drag" works fine. Not a level wind. Used, shows some use through the years, please see pictures. Was this a prototype? Was it pre-production? I have researched this and have come up empty. antique j. t. slocomb micrometer patent dates 1896, 1897 - piston micrometer?
here's a sweet antique micrometer from j. t. slocumb of providence rhode island who made a slew of micrometers in his time. this is the only one of this design that i have seen around though. best intelligence i have is that this is some sort of micrometer intended to measure round. Such as a piston micrometer. this micrometer is old enough to predate pistons that are oval or crowned, i.e. it would have been used to measure round on a round item. that's the best i've been able to find, if anyone else has information please add it. i'm throwing this out there based on its scarcity,so feel free to make an offer if you don't like the price. but don't be upset when someone snags it while the offer process proceeds. shipping is priority maill. On auction is one McGill High-Speed coin Changer. This coin changer was worn on the belt and often used by gas station attendants to organize their US coins and dispense coins when giving change. I don't recall where I bought this. But I have have had it for about 20 years in my display cabinet. I no longer have place to display and rather than keep it in storage am offering it here to a new home. It is designed to hold the following US coins: Quarter. Dime, nickel and penny with each tube holding about a three-inch stack of each. This is an original piece- well made from pressed nickel plated steel. No rust that I can see. Antique RARE Fastenerless Mortise Lock 4 Patent Dates 1873 Gory Patent w/key
Antique Fastenerless Mortise Lock w/Barrel Key* 4 Patent Dates from 1873 to 1885 Offered is a rarely found original Gory patented mortise lock with barrel key. This lock is unique in that it was patented to by used without screws or nails to attach to cabinets. Etc. There are 4 patent dates stamped on the back side as: April 22'73(1873) Aug 22'82(1882) July 17'83(1883) and Nov 24'85(1885) There is some minor metal staining found but mechanisms work well with the turning of the barrel key. Measures 4" long by 2 3/8" wide and 1/2" deep. Having a working key to a lock this old is rare and nice! This was the lock that was under patent infringement lawsuits in the 1890s by Duer vs Corbin. Up for bid is a fuse from the very early days of electricity. This one has a string of pre 1900 patent dates on the top(1882-1885-1897) Made By General Electric. Tarnished as you can see in the pictures from being well over 100 years old. The tops screw off on these old style fuses to see if it has blown or not. It was later that they went to having a window to look through and check to see if the wire was intact. This one is still good and unblown. It is very rare to find these super early copper top fuses.

The burner is complete and excellent—no dents or cracks in the metal. And the spring that allows you to lower the perforated shell for lighting is good. Midget Mason Jar Rare Antique Two Patent Dates 1858 & 1867 Mason's
Nice hard to find mason jar. Has a few small air bubbles in glass. Jar has shoulder edge and ground lip. Jar says(Mason's Patent NOV. 30th 1858) Bottom says(PAT NOV 26 67 105) Jar is a very light blue color almost clear. Jar is in nice shape for its age. Has a few light chips on the ground lip and a few light scratches from use. Jar measures appx 5 1/4" tall. Any questions please ask. Jar sold as is. Other jars listed in store. Western Electric Country Telephone-old patent dates
UP FOR AUCTION* This old telephone set-up was purchased from a local rural estate. The family said this phone set-up was used on the farm until the'50's. I will do my best to describe it. Oak box with crank. Stickered Western Electric, 8" x 9" The heavy magneto inside is still intact and looks good and the crank on the side turns the wheel inside. The box does have paint around the edges, otherwise good condition. The magneto base is stamped 48A and has an 1894 patent date. The oak box is marked, 2991 on the inside. There is a second oak box, 5" x 6 1/2" with bells on the outside and internal workings. It seems to be in good condition, but does have paint around the edges of the box. The box is stamped 127F. There is a headset and the bakelite earphones are stamped, Nathaniel Baldwin with a 1915 patent date(one ... moreof the covers for the earphones is missing) I guess the other piece is an earphone or mouthpiece? This is a pair of vintage 6" self adjusting wrenches made by Heller. They both have serrated pipe jaws and a Horse Logo. Front side is marked: Pat 11-12-29 6" MASTERENCH CHROME VANADIUM. Rear side is marked: HELLER BROTHERS NEWARK NJ USA(both N's are backwards) Pat 7-5-27 4-14-25. The end of the wrench has a very crudely formed 12-point wrench opening. Approx. 7/16" Front side is marked: HELLER MADE IN USA PATENTED. Rear side is marked: 6 In MASTERENCH. The end of the wrench has a square wrench opening. You are bidding on a Stanley. Bailey#8 jointer bench hand plane. As with all vintage hand tools. They do have blemishes form over hundred years of usage. Please look at all the pictures carefully. What you see is what you get. Look at the walnut shavings! The blade is very sharp. Obviously. This is not your typical Ebay hand plane. Why mess around with one of those rusty beat up plane that you can never get it to work right? This one is ready to go to work as a user and go for anther hundred year. Antique Trunk Embossed Tin 3 Patent Dates 1869,1869 & 1870 Great Restoration
For sale today is a very nicely restored antique humpback trunk with embossed tin and the restoration turned out very well. The embossed tin is a herringbone pattern- see pictures. I found three patent dates on the trunk. The lock is dated March 1870 and April 1870. The wheels are dated 1869 which makes this awesome old humpback as much as a 144 years old- a true antique. This trunk was structurally sound when the restoration started and the metal bottom is in good solid condition. Has had multiple coats of paint applied. The trunk has the three original hinges which are heavy duty, fancy,tight and work well. There are 35 pieces of original polished hardware and has the original brass center lock which has been polished- no key. The two original mechanical latches remain and both do not work. A new black leather lid lifter was installed on ... morethe trunk. There are 9 solid oak slats in a golden oak color on the trunk. The metal/tin is in very good condition. The trunk has the four original metal wheels on the bottom and the trunk rolls easily. Two new black leather handles were installed with the original end caps. It has the original metal lid stay and the lid closes well. The trunk has a new custom built tray and the interior has been removed. If you are interested in this trunk please make an offer. Antique RARE Fastenerless Mortise 2 Lock 4 Patent Dates 1873 Gory Patent No keys
Antique Fastenerless Mortise Locks NO Key s* 4 Patent Dates from 1873 to 1885 Offered is a rarely found original Gory patented mortise locks. Quantity of 2. No Keys. This lock are unique in that they were patented to by using no screws or nails to attach to cabinets. Etc. There are 4 patent dates stamped on the back side as: April 22'73(1873) Aug 22'82(1882) July 17'83(1883) and Nov 24'85(1885) There is some minor metal staining found but mechanisms work well with the turning of the barrel key. Large lock measures 4" long by 2 3/8" wide and 1/2" deep. Tested with a key and it works well. Smaller lock measures 2 1/4" long by 2 1/16" wide by 1/2" deep. Not tested. This was the lock that was under patent infringement lawsuits in the 1890s by Duer vs Corbin.
