It is in great workable condition, although the iron is very old and shows weathering. I am not sure of the year of manufacturing. But it was passed down from a great grandparent so it is at least 3 generations old.

This is a vintage meat grinder. Universal#2 appears to be made of cast iron. Dates on grinder show 1897. 1898, and 1899. Item is clean, no rust. I do not have any paperwork, or the original box. Universal Meat Grinder No. 2, with wood handle and tabletop clamp
A vintage table-top meat grinder. Commonly used in the 1950's and 1960's, it reminds me of when I used to grind up meat for my grandmother. It is a Universal No. 2. And it is made in America, with two separate cutters. Some minor discoloration and rust, however handle and table clamp work and appear to be in good shape and operate smoothly. OLD Vintage Universal #2 Clamp-On Food and Meat Chopper w/box & 3 attachments
This was my mothers. It is an original vintage meat/sausage/food grinder by Universal. It comes with 3 attachments for coarse. Medium and fine grind settings. 10" maxiumum length and 7-1/4 inches maximum width. It clamps onto a cabinet or table for use. It has a wood knob on the handle for turning. It is clean, shiny and in excellent fully working condition. All screws and other parts turn easily. The original box is NOT in good shape but is included because in has the instructions printed on the box. Thank you for looking.
