Offered here are 2 vintage Universal hand crank cast metal meat grinders made by L. F& C in New Britain. Connecticut. Included is a No. 1 and a slightly larger No. 2. Both are embossed with lots of patent and manufacturer information and the Universal model numbers. Both have wooden crank handles. There are no damaged. Broken or missing pieces and they both operate nicely. They appear to have been laying around for a while and with a little clean up and they will be ready to go. The following auction is for 2 vintage meat grinders. They are used. They are really dirty and need cleaned up. You get the exact lot pictured. These are the kind of Grinders that you screwed onto the table. I will describe each better below. You only get the attachment that is on the end of the grinder.There arent any others. The grinder has the original paperwork, a pamphlet with product information and includes both care instructions and a parts list, with prices and is in its original red box. The chopper was manufactured in the United States. The chopper is made of cast iron, treated with a tin finish to avoid rusting. It has 3 cutting blades for fine, medium and coarse chopping, all of which are clean and sharp. One has only a little bit of rust which would undoubtedly clean up well. The grinder is clean and in very good condition. The paperwork and box are in good structural condition, though both have significant staining. Universal Food Chopper No.1 by L.F.C. This is in pretty good condition. All the parts that should move. Do move. The wooden handle is not split or broken. I don't see any rust on the grinder itself, but I do see some on the clamp screw on the bottom. Measures about 8" to the bottom of the clamp. The arm measures about 9" long. This auction is for two vintage meat grinders/choppers. The first is a used Russwin No. 0 made by Russell& Erwin Mfg Co New Britain Conn. USA. Pat. MCH.4.02" On the handle is has"Pat'd in Canada Aug. 27, 01" It appears to be in good working condition. The handle is smoothed so it has been used. The bolt that holds the handle on has a bit of rust. The second chopper is a Universal Food and Meat Chopper No. 1. L.F&C New Britain Conn. USA. It is in the original box and it is unclear if it was ever used. It has extra blades and the manual. The box is starting to fall apart. These are really heavy. Three different sizes of meat/ food grinders with 9 blades for your consideration. All are cast steel construction with original hardware clamps and wooden handles. The first is a Universal#3. This is quite large. The inner handle is embossed MADE IN U.S.A. It also has an impressed BD after USA. Handle turns freely. Minor surface rust that should clean nicely. Next is a#2 UNIVERSAL. MADE IN U.S.A on inner handle and L.F& C. NEW BRITAIN. CONN. U.S.A. on handle exterior. All original parts again with a slight amount of easily cleaned surface rust again. Third is a#1 UNIVERSAL. There is a Griswold#111 with 3 different plates and the cutting edge. there is surface rust on this as it would need to be cleaned if used but as is.
