The grinder has the original paperwork, a pamphlet with product information and includes both care instructions and a parts list, with prices and is in its original red box. The chopper was manufactured in the United States. The chopper is made of cast iron, treated with a tin finish to avoid rusting. It has 3 cutting blades for fine, medium and coarse chopping, all of which are clean and sharp. One has only a little bit of rust which would undoubtedly clean up well. The grinder is clean and in very good condition. The paperwork and box are in good structural condition, though both have significant staining. Very nice meat grinder! It is Made in Sweden. Bolinder's, Ideal No. 3. The item is very heavy, think it may be made of a cast iron. It is silver colored, but is magnetic. Has the wood handle, no major rust areas, three different style chopping blades, very clean inner reservoir, and works very well. This is one of those you do not see often! The opening at the top is about 4" by 4 3/4" chamber is about 4 1/4" long, and about 2 3/4" wide, from bottom of handle to top of unit is about 12 1/2" from front screw on chamber to end of wood handle tip is a width of about 11" This grinder/chopper can just about cut, grind or chop just about anything from cheese to your toughest venison. Heavy Old Antique Vintage Griscer Steel Iron Meat Sausage Grinder 3 attachments
Heavy old Griscer brand meat or sausage grinder for your home use or for display in an old Hoosier cabinet or similar. It would be really cool in a restored vintage kitchen! This is the kind you clamp onto the edge of a work table(see photos) It comes with 3 attachments as shown. Please look at pictures; I am not familiar with these implements& cannot make any claims about this one. But I'll be happy to answer any questions if it's for information I can acquire by looking at the item or by experimenting with the mechanism. In a similar vein. I have brushed off the dust but I don't know how these things are to be cared for, so I didn't wash them( figuring also that new owner would know how to clean them& would clean them before using anyway!
