ANTIQUE CAST IRON SAUSAGE STUFFER MOUNTED ON BOARD. This is an antique cast iron and steel sausage stuffer or press mounted on a hardwood board. It appears to be complete with the exception of a missing screw to hold the crank tightly and it does have some wear and paint chips typical for kitchen items of this age. The gear works easily when turned with the crank and probably with a little cleaning and a new screw should still work. The press measures approximately 25" long x 4" wide mounted on a 5 1/2" wide x 23" long board. There is no markings on the press to indicate the name of the manufacturer or it's exact age. Vintage/Antique Hale’s Genuine Russell & Erwin Heavy Cast Iron Sausage Stuffer
You are bidding on one lot of one seemingly very old sausage stuffer or maybe grinder. There are two tags on the top. One says Hale’s Genuine with a logo underneath. And the other says Made By Russell& Erwin New Britain, Conn. USA. This is not a particularly large machine, measuring about 8” long not including the handle and spout, about 5.5” across, and about 4” high, but it is incredibly heavy for its size, due in part to the cast iron body and very large steel jaws inside. It has four feet to mount to the workspace, a long detachable handle, a closing clasp, and a spout for your sausage casing. I have not made sausage with this but the handle and grinding wheels turn freely. And it opens and closes fine. OF NOTE is that it has a serious coating of either decades old animal fat. Or grease, or combination, or something similar and is ... morevery dirty/grimy. The silver lining is that this coating has kept it pretty much rust free but it needs a solvent or similar. I was able to get some of it off by scrubbing with dishwashing liquid, but it needs something stronger I think. The handle will be removed for shipping. Overall a neat old kitchen appliance in good working condition that I have not seen before. Please email me with any questions prior to bidding. Single cylinder grinding models and dates back to the 1800's. It has four legs to mount to any surface, and a clasp to release the top from the bottom. Condition: In very good. We are pleased to offer a wonderful primitive 16" L tin sausage stuffer with a solid oak Plunger and a hanging hook. The oak plunger is 10 1/4" L with a mushroom style handle and 2 7/8" body diameter. Outside of a few age cracks on its bottom. The plunger is in excellent condition. The tin itself is 12 1/4" L with a 3 1/8" D opening. The seams are fully intact and from aging, there is some rusting on the interior& exterior surfaces but in no way distracts from the quality or apperaance of this vintage item. From a local estate. Here is an old Enterprise meat grinder, model#32. This is the larger one, stands over 8" tall, the hopper is about 6" X 7" the unit measures almost 14" across without the sausage tube attached. Looks complete with the handle and end nut, cutter blade, plate, front ring, and a sausage stuffer tube that may not be original but I'll send it along. Condition as shown. It is older with plenty of discoloration, a little flash rust here and there, nothing serious. Everything works like it should, this is not a complicated machine. Spend a little time cleaning it to your satisfaction, then it should be ready for decades more service. Sorry about the high cost to ship, this is a large, heavy grinder. Made in USA. Antique Table Mounted Cast Iron Sausage Stuffer Patented March 15 1859. This main cast iron part measures 9" by 7" and the handle is 10 1/2" long and the wooden grip is 5" long. This piece is in good condition. This piece is in original condition with the paint showing some wear and minor surface rust. The mechanism works fine. The spout is tin and has a few bends at the small end. There are no breaks or cracks in the cast iron. I will combine items when possible to save shipping costs.
