And just looks cool as all get out. As far as I can tell, there isn’t much that can go wrong with them. The latest of the patent dates is the American one(1900) The other patent dates are for Canada. The United Kingdom and Belgium. There are four cutters. Two of them appear to be for meat. Another is marked“Bread Crumber” And the last one says Condition– It has a patina that shows a lot of use. But there are no bad scratches on it. Some of the pages of the pamphlet are loose and it’s somewhat brittle with age. But it is otherwise readable. Since this weighs well over 4 pounds before any box or packaging. I will send it in a medium flat rate box, the cost of which will be $12.65- Free local pickup is an option if you can make your way to Saint Paul. Up for auction is a working Model#2 Universal Food Chopper that connects to a flat surface while you grind nuts. Meat, cheese, or whatever. It definitely needs a good cleaning. It comes with it's original box that's in acceptable shape. It is heavy. Made of heavy cast iron by Landers Frary& Clark of New Britain. Connecticut. It measures a little over 9 inches high. The grinder blades, brace screw, and parts of the grinder have some rust on them that will comes off with some steel wool. There are three different grinder blades. An arm that connects to the grinder and a screw that holds the arm on. The handle of the arm has a wooden handle. Up for bid is a pair of Vintage Old Meat/ Food Grinders. Both in great usable condition. The first is a"CLIMAX 51" from"L.F.C. NEW BRITAIN. CONN. U.S.A. Also has the number"2" on the body. Nicely embossed this all metal grinder is about 10" long. 7" wide, and weighs around 4 pounds 4 ounces. Included with this piece are 4 separate blades(all pictured) one with"EXTRA FINE" lettered. All with a bit of surface type rust. The mounting screw and bracket are intact and operate properly. The all wooden handle is uncracked. This"MADE IN U.S.A. product has a bit of rust remaining and could use a little cleaning(I did rinse both grinders in soapy water) otherwise it is ready for use or your collection. For sale are two Antique meat grinders choppers. The first is a" UNIVERSAL 2" made by" L.F.C. NEW BRITAIN. CONN. U.S.A. This metal food grinder has a wood handle knob which is not cracked or chipped. Metal part does have an area of rust. About 11" long. 10" wide, and weighs around 4 pounds. Does have some spots of rust and shows some wear but turns and works as intended. Included are three'cutting blades' for various size cuts. Screw for table mounting is intact. The second is a" CLIMAX 50" also made by" L.F.C. NEW BRITAIN. CONN. U.S.A. About 9 1/2" long. 8" wide, and weighs around 3 pounds. All metal body with wood handle- not cracked or chipped. Also shows some wear and a couple rust spots. Works great. Has a different cutting(built onto the main body) mechanism than above and includes ... morethree of the'strainer' parts for different cuts(cleaned up some but surface rust remains) There is what may have been original(or later) paint on the handle.
