This is an extremely rare Keystone model 120 meat grinder in great condition. This meat grinder has an antique wooden board attached with antique screws and nails. The board attached to this meat grinder makes this grinder extremely rare and a hard to find item. The meat grinder is in excellent condition with barely if any rusting and all of it's parts there and working. The meat grinder has two grinding attachments that go with it. Making it even rarer. The meat grinder grinds real smooth and they just don't make them like they used to. This grinder would be perfect for kitchen decor or would be fit to use. This grinder could probably grind up a whole cow very easily and even has a huge opening in which to put meat. This grinder probably came out of a butcher shop because of it's size and weight. Old Antique 1900 Patent Universal No. 1, Food Chopper, Meat Grinder, Cast Iron
Here's an old or antique Universal No. 1"Food Chopper" or meat grinder kitchen tool we received recently with some older kitchen items. This one has many raised markings on the cast iron pieces and seems to have had patents in the late 1800's with one noted as 1900. So this is probably from the very early 1900's. The cutoff piece is reversible and has a multitooth side and a three tooth side. The wood handle is in nice shape with slight signs of use and age as one might expect. My guess is this had been in use for making hash or other ground meat and vegetable type meals up until recently. It is relatively clean though a little fine cleaning could be done. Other markings indicate"L F& C" of New Britain. CT, USA. To lend a little scale to the photos the grinder stands about 8 inches tall from the bottom ... moreof the frame to the top of the frame. The opening is about 3 inches by 2.5 inches. Nice old or antique kitchen tool, seems suited for continued use. That's about it. It appears to be complete with the exception of a missing screw to hold the crank tightly and it does have some wear and paint chips typical for kitchen items of this age. The gear works easily when turned with the crank and probably with a little cleaning and a new screw should still work. The press measures approximately 25" long x 4" wide mounted on a 5 1/2" wide x 23" long board. There is no markings on the press to indicate the name of the manufacturer or it's exact age. Antique Vtg Climax Food Chopper Meat Grinder Cast Iron 4 Steampunk Lamp Art ?
This is an old cast iron meat grinder or food chopper as it says. It is in pretty good condition. It has patents and places all over it so I photographed them so you can see. This had just a little surface rust on the inside.So I took it apart and cleaned it and treated it with mineral oil(a safe oil that you use on cutting boards) It could use some more cleaning. This weighs about 4 pounds! The crank turns easily one way, a little more difficult the other, but I am trying it not bolted down. The blade part turns easily. The bolt on the clamp part is a little bent, but does turn in and out. THIS IS REALLY HEAVY! IT BARELY FITS INTO A FLAT RATE ENVELOPE. BUT THAT IS THE ONLY AFFORDABLE WAY TO SHIP THIS. ANTIQUE CAST IRON MEAT GRINDER. I bought this classic meat grinder a while back at an auction. I didn't need it then and still don't. But it's such a neat old piece that I couldn't pass it up. It is a RUSSWIN No. 0 model and was built by the Russell& Irwin Mfg Co in New Britain, Con. U.S.A. It reads"PAT. MCH 4, 02" on the body, and on the handle is states"PAT'D. IN CANADA AUG. 27, 01. I assume those are 19 02& 19 01. Although I suppose it's possible it could be 18 02& 18 01. But if you are looking at antique meat grinders I'm sure you know which century it represents. So I'll leave that up to you. It is about 9" long overall, would stand about 5.75" above the table top, and weighs 3 pounds, 12 ounces. Vintage/Antique Hale’s Genuine Russell & Erwin Heavy Cast Iron Sausage Grinder
You are bidding on one lot of one seemingly very old sausage grinder. There are two tags on the top. One says Hale’s Genuine with a logo underneath. And the other says Made By Russell& Erwin New Britain, Conn. USA. This is not a particularly large machine, measuring about 8” long not including the handle and spout, about 5.5” across, and about 4” high, but it is incredibly heavy for its size, due in part to the cast iron body and very large steel grinders inside. It has four feet to mount to the workspace, a long detachable handle, a closing clasp, and a spout for your sausage casing. I have not made sausage with this but the handle and grinding wheels turn freely. And it opens and closes fine. OF NOTE is that it has a serious coating of either decades old animal fat. Or grease, or combination, or something similar and is very dirty/grimy. ... moreThe silver lining is that this coating has kept it pretty much rust free but it needs a solvent or similar. I was able to get some of it off by scrubbing with dishwashing liquid, but it needs something stronger I think. The handle will be removed for shipping. Keystone is in a believed to be homemade box. The rival has no box. Also the base/ suction is chipped away at the corners. But does still hold its position. See pics for more details. COLLECTIBLE ANTIQUE MEAT GRINDER BRAND NAME: Climax 50 This is a vintage Cast Iron Meat Grinder from my Grandmother's kitchen many years ago. It has that valued beautiful patina which comes with the process of aging and some rust spotting. There are no extra parts with this old"workhorse" as seen in the detailed photographs I have included in this offering. You will receive only what is pictured and described. The embossed wording"Climax 50" is on the front of the food intake bulb. And then on one side of the handle arm is the inscription: L.F. C. New Britain. Conn. U.S.A. And on the other side of the handle arm is the inscription: Made in U.S.A. At the end of the cast iron arm is a Wooden handle which has that lovely patina. At the base is a built-in clamp which is used for attaching to the edge of a table.
