Believed to be circa early 20th century. The tool is the grinder is a smaller size, measuring a bit over 8" long, and about 2-1/2" x 3-1/4" across the hopper mouth(probably about the same size as a Griswold No 1) Body is prominently marked"Larkin" on the hopper. It comes with a full set of four blades. Including a reversible processor blade; fine cut on one side and very fine cut on the other side. Made to last several lifetimes. The body parts are made entirely of cast iron, and zinc plated for longevity and rust resistance. The precision round chopper/ extruder plates are milled steel and very well made. This is a rare electric#12 Chop-Rite meat grinder chopper with three meat grinder plates and five food slicer attachments that are similar to the Salad Master manual food slicer. I was not able to find any other units like this one on the internet. It is very heavy and made in the U.S.A. It is in perfect running condition and all the parts are in excellent. Clean condition for a vintage item. The motor is 1/2 HP and very quiet. The previous owner had it for many years and has kept it properly oiled. There is a place on the top to add oil. There is an on/off switch on the back. The cord should probably be replaced as it has some cracks. There is very little surface rust on the meat cutting plates. Please see photos for details. Nice Vintage Original L.F&C grinder. This piece has what appears to be all the original nuts. Screws, handle and other pieces. The crank rotates smooth and the auger inside is in good shape! Very little rust and nice patina. I would think with a little clean up you might use this in your kitchen still. Great for the collector or country kitchen theme.
