Lastly there is an old metal screw on 72mm cap that shows a lot of use. Looks like it could be Exacta or Steinheil related but it is only a guess. Dates from the 60's or 70's. Neat old cap. This listing is for an EVERSHARP SKYLINE pen from the mid'40's. This pen is 5-1/4" long in a dark Dubonnet Red. The lever is frozen due to a hardened sac. So a new sac will be required and there is always the possibility of a J-bar being needed as well. The trim is gold filled and has not been polished at all. It appears in good condition except for the usual tiny area along the ridge line of the lever which has wear and some brassing due to frequent posting of the cap. There is also a very minor dent in the plastic barrel above the lever. The clip has standard EVERSHARP SKYLINE markings on the front and on the clip retaining ring. Here's a WATERMAN COMMANDO in celluloid and from the mid 1940's. This pen does not have the COMMANDO barrel imprint. But is marked WATERMAN MADE IN USA on the clip. The original clear barrel end to this pen as usual has crystallized and fallen away and the remaining pen is 4-11/16" long and a a deep burgundy color. The finish of the gold filled trim is still excellent, but the pen will need a new sac for the lever filler. Aside from the missing barrel end, there are no external flaws to the pen.
