Fine Items from ALittleUnlimited Description A beautiful antique foot stool in a French style dating to the 19th century. Either from France or the United States. It features graceful hand carving with a fleur de lis on the knee of each cabriole leg and a carved apron. The needlepoint could be the original covering and is quite worn- please view the photographs. The top of the stool measures 13" by 9 1/4" and it is 7 1/4" tall. It is in good condition for its age showing normal signs of wear. One leg is slightly loose- there is one brass tack missing from each side of this leg. You can see that the construction is done with a tenon rather than with dowels. Indicating an earlier rather than later time of manufacture. This is a really interesting and wonderful piece of small furniture. A Folding Cane Stool or small Bench. I have tried to research this piece. And so far have not found anything about or like this small stool. A Victorian Cane Stool that folds and has a decorative handle on the end. Is it a Salesman Sample? Is it a Traveling Stool? Possibly Military to move around with those beautiful folding officers chairs? I have no idea. But this is a really amazing piece. Top Measures 13 1/2 inches by 9 3/4 inches. When folded it is only 2 1/4 inches tall. When unfolded and standing upright just under 13 inches tall. 19th century. Catalan Spanish wide-plank, hand-crafted bench. This is a beautiful. Hand-carved antique bench from the Catalan region of the Spanish Pyrenean mountains. Approximate dimensions are 70 inches long x 27 inches deep x 37 inches high. The bench incorporates beautiful wide planks for the seat and“gingerbread” carving for the back and sides. The construction uses traditional methods: dowels and mortise& tenon joints throughout(I cannot see any nails or screws at all) Condition is very good with no significant knocks or bashes. Antique Victorian Foot Stool,Walnut, Unique "Dog" Shape, Coffin Kneeling Stool
Up for auction one antique Victorian foot stool. This stool is an unusual design. Looks like a dog or some other animal in a kneeling position, head down, butt up. It is slanted forward and has a rolled part at the bottom to rest your heels on. There are three large protruding wood dowels on each side of the stool. The sides of the stool are joined together by means of wood slats which have than been covered with carpet. This carpet is not original to the stool. The stool measures 14-1/2 inches long, 11-1/2 inches wide, 7 inches high at the back and 5 inches high at the front. It weighs 4-1/2 pounds. There has been some repair work done on the stool, two of the slats have been replaced. This does not show under the carpet. Other than that it is nice and sturdy. On Feb-05-14 at 16:47:39 PST. I bought this late 1800's Holtzman Glass Ball and Claw Piano Stool. The top of the stool looks like 3 single pieces of oak pressed together. The metal claws and Glass Balls are in very good condition. It is adjustable from 19 1/2" to 24 1/2" in height. The seat goes up and down very smooth. It also look like someone has re-done the stool. The frame is made from walnut and square nailed all around with turned hand railings and legs. The back is one solid piece of wood which we believe to be Cherry. The cushion is a nice violet color and is clean. Probably less than 30 years old. The entire piece sits on 4 metal caster wheels for ease of moving around. A superior example of a traditional design Victorian ... morefoot stool. The stool os raised on three turned and ebonised legs. Each leg is decorated with a ring of ormolu beads. The deep ebonised circular frame is similarly decorated with a band of ormolu beads around the rim and a deeper band of diagonal beads seperated by diagonal banding. The pad is covered by a wool work panel depicting flowers and foliage. Lilies I think, that are elobately decorated with beadwork. The beadwork panel is removal facilitating easier cleaning/polishing of the wood& ormolu without the worry of inadvertly waxing the wool. The panels base is connected to a screw fit dowel that is held in place by a diamond shaped wooden nut. Dimensions: The stool has a diameter of 31.5cm and stands 12cm tall. Weight: 1569g's. Condition: The wood is ebonised. Clean and waxed with a nice sheen. There are surface marks to the wood from past use. The ormolu is clean and bright with no apparent wear. There are very minor polish deposits and very minor tarnish to rebated areas. The wool work is clean and the colours are bright and true. The beadwork is well done with no apparent loss of beads. 19th Century Carpenters Workbench
Great vintage workbench from a basement. nice construction as seen in the dovetails of the tail vise and the wedged tenons of the face vise. the height of the bench top is 32 1/2 inches. the tops width is 24 1/2" and length is 79 1/2" the overall length with the tail vise is 85" the base is made of 4 by 4's for the legs and nailed on stretchers. the base has dowels which line up with corresponding holes in the top. the top is great. It has the 2 original iron bench dogs. the vises both work fine. the tool tray has been painted. there is a removable board in that tray so that wood shavings can be cleaned out. there is a twist to the top and there was a repair to the top as seen in the pictures. i am willing to ship it. let me know if i can answer any questions

Great antique bench bed from around the turn of the 18th-19th century. Hardly see these anymore except in museums. I saw one just like this in the Mumford Museum in Caledonia NY but the one I am selling is much nicer. I bought this one at Niagara on the Lake back in the late 1980's. The bench opens up and you can throw a feather mattress in there(not included) From what I understand these were kept near the entrance to a home and used when a person came calling looking for a place to sleep. Offering today a terrific Primitive Step Stool we found at a local farm estate. This great step stool does not have any nails. It is all Mortise& Tenon construction. Still solid but I would not recommend using it as a daily step. This more of a primitive decor item or it would make a perfect child's bench. Measures 12" x 7-1/2" and 9" tall. This piece has true character with age appropriate wear and much of the old red paint still intact. There is a tight crack in the top board which looks like it may have been glued to protect it from separating many many years ago. The green patina is on only one corner and the three remaining corners have nice hammered bronze or brass nail heads. Nice figural panels on the side and the feet are butterfly's. This is an antique adjustment screw gear for a piano or harp stool- you spin the seat to raise or lower the height. It is made out of cast iron or steel. I'm not sure which, and is in excellent condition other than being a little dirty. It is stamped"Lyon& Healy Chicago" on the base. It swivels about the grooves very easily, no rust etc. It could also be used as a retro display piece, candlestick holder, etc. The base with grooved screw gear measures about 9 1/4 inches high. This is an old antique piano or organ stool likely from the 1880s. It has writing that says"So. Acton Mass. and"A. Merriam Co. It is in extremely good condition. I really do not see any significant flaws on it at all. It works just fine. I would guess that at some point it has been refinished because it just looks so nice. It has what appears to be glass balls clutched by metal eagle claws that are painted gold at the bottoms of its 4 legs. Please excuse the dust you see in the photo.
