Measures about 17" square at the top and 15 1/4" high. Fine clean solid complete condition. The oak has some normal age splits and wear- check my photos. This is a heavy very solid stool for its size- it weighs 21 pounds! The lathe turned legs have a classic Empire period style, a bit more balky than Eastlake. We believe it dates from mid 19th century. If you love old oak pieces like we do, you are certain to enjoy this magnificent small table or stool.

Recent Wisconsin farmstead estate find is this rare 1800's foot stool in the shape of a heart. The wood is oak and the s eat is covered in old faded green velvet. The oa k is in good condition and untouched. I did not oil this or clean it. The velvet top shows much wear but is still intac t and I would not change it. Amazing piece of American Folk art. It is about 14 inches long and 10 inches wide at its widest poin t and about 7 1/2 inches tall. This came out of an old farm house and is in original condition. The seat is nice and solid- you can see where the original seam where the two pieces of oak were put together. But it isn't coming apart. There are 100+ years of small marks and scratches to the top, but they just give it character and could easily be sanded if you want to refinish it. ANTIQUE 9-1/2" TOP-OF-STACK OAK WOOD FOOTSTOOL This sale is for an old small Top of the Stack oak wood footstool that was recently removed from an estate in the Cumberland Valley of Pennsylvania. It is shown as the top stool in a group picture with an average size stool to indicate its relative small size. It measures 9-1/2" long x 4-1/2" wide x 4-3/4" tall. It features nicely scalloped double aprons. Rounded bootjack legs with cut-outs, and nice worn finish on all surfaces. It remains in good condition. It does show the normal imperfections of old primitive footstools including tight separations. Partially exposed nails on the underside of the top and missing slivers of wood. The legs are not completely perpendicular to the top, but it sits level and steady on any flat surface. A nice early footstool with a great country ... moreprimitive appearance! STICKLEY HANDCRAFT on the hand screw decal. This piece is constructed out of quarter sawn oak. The stool is in excellent condition with the original finish. The legs are a little loose and needs to be reglued. The original leather upholstery has been replaced with a needle point tapestry. This could easily be reupholstered with leather. This is an antique quatersawn oak spindle foot stool or vanity bench from the mid to late 1800's. Very sturdy and all original with the original cushion which is velvet or sateen green. It has nice rounded corners. There's a few small specks of white paint on a couple legs. One surface scratch on one corner. The cushion does show some normal wear.
