c1870s Antique Church Pew
Antique pew salvaged from old Rockville. MD church. Former owner stated it is at least 150 years old as that was the age of the church they were updating. In researching the history of the area, I noted that St. Marys Church was rennovated in 1978(it was built in the late1800s) The pew needs some cosmetic TLC(finish, end and arms) The curved arms are detailed nicely. It is approximately 5 feet long however if you email, I will measure all of it. The pew appears to have some oak but the main construction is either chestnut or mahagony. Lovely piece, just no time to restore. Serious inquiries only. Local Pick Up Only- Baltimore MD area. Thanks! 2/12/13 addendum- added 4 photos and measurements are 61" long 35" tall and 18" wide.

FOR SALE: Antique Church Pew Bible or Song Book holder. This piece is made of oak and the wood is in amazing condition with the original patina. Each measures nearly 32" long and each end braket measures 11 1/4" vertically. There are pine inserts which slide into place at the bottom of the holders. Offered for you consideration is a tiger oak church pew with ornate carved detail on each end. The church pew is 7'4" long by 36" tall by 23" deep. There are light scratches on the seat portion that are typical for use.see picture) The center support is screwed into the back of the bench and had a nail in the underside. The wood on the support is chipped as shown and the support should be attached with more sturdy hardware. You are bidding on an antique prayer kneeler. Sturdy construction and simple form out of plain wood. It measures 59" long, 4-1/2" thick, and sits 5" tall. There is a mark on the bottom which appears to say"Noviciat Ch. I haven't figured out exactly what that means- if you know, please let me know. I believe it would date to the late 19th century. It has a feature that is extremely rare.ornate applied carvings on both the outside of the end panels as well as on the inside of the panels(near the top on the inside) In 12 or more years of buying and selling 400 or more antique church pews. I have never had any with applied carvings on the inside of the end panels. Antique solid wood church pew
This solid wood church pew originally graced the sanctuary of the Christian Church in Cheney. Ks. Items from the church were sold in the late 1980s and then the church was demolished. The pew is slightly curved and still has the holder for the hymnals and bibles on the back. It is in excellent condition and is approximately 8' long. Seller believes that it is solid oak, but has no verification of that. Today they make splendid hand towel rails. Each end is in the shape of fleurs de lis while the rail itself is nicely twisted. 1893 Church Pew 122" Long Bench More Available Almost 120 years old! Search What I have to offer here is a very old church pew. This church was built in 1892 and all of the contents are original. The board of directors of the church and cemetery are selling 4 of these church pews to raise money to save the church building. This auction is for a 122" long pew. It is the longer pew. Shown in the pictures that I have available. The pew measures 122" by 30" tall and is 14" in depth. We are selling 4 of the large pews(shown in the picture better) This auction is for one pew. But we would be willing to sell more on a first come first serve basis. They were used from the time the church was built in 1893 until about 1965 when the last congregation had church in the building. The pews aren't perfect. There are scraps ... moreand scars from use. Up for auction is this old Church Pew. I believe it to be oak. It is 6 feet 2 inches long from outside arm to outside arm. I cannot tell what year it is from. Beautiful Antique Church Pew with cross
We bought this church pew used. It does have scratches and dents on it and I included a picture to show one. I put bees wax on the bench and it helps to bring out the golden color. There is a cross on the side and a hymn book holder on the back. It measures 47 3/4" wide x 24" deep x 34 1/4" high. It is heavy and very solid! This is a great piece of furniture.

Primitive Antique Oak Church Pew
Very old primitive oak church pew. Needs a complete restoration. I had this in my house for many years and since moving it has been stored in a shed for many years. It is in need of a good cleaning also. One of the boards on seat is warped. Probably could be fixed with some type of support under seat. I made a cushion for the seat when I had it in the house. That worked for me. It measures 6 feet long. 37 inches high at the highest point and 20 inches deep. This was originally rescued from a dirt floor shed so part of the feet were rotted off. This offering is for a 50" wide beautiful ornate antique oak church pew. It would make a great Christmas gift. It has a feature that is extremely rare.ornate applied carvings on both the outside of the end panels as well as on the inside of the panels(near the top on the inside) In 12 or more years of buying and selling 400 or more antique church pews. I have never had any other style pews with applied carvings on the inside of the end panels. The pew has been shortened from its original length and is just as it was used in the church; I have gone over it with Old English to cover over scratches from the nearly 100 years of usage. It is completely authentic and is an attractive looking piece that would look ... moregreat in your family room. Entry way, on your porch or patio, in a sun room, in an office or reception area, or just about anywhere seating you would like to place them. The pew is 50 inches wide at the rear of the pew. I have pictured a place on the upper part of one of the arms where an old repaired crack is barely noticeable and also a picture of a"rub" in the finish on the arm on the opposite side. Neither of these blemishes detract from the overall beauty of this piece. You can see that both end panels taper in slightly. Making the front of the pew slightly narrower than the back of the pew. The end panels are 38 1/2" high. When placed against the wall. This beautiful Antique Bench with storage is an heirloom. Handed down for several hundred years. Some say it was originally a Church Pew with storage. I inherited it from my mother who passed away last year at almost 100. She always said it was well over 100 years old when her family got it in 1890. The smooth finish. This is an old church pew with a back board for song book. Prayer book or bible. This bench appears to be very old and may be 100 years old or older, just not sure of the age. Measures about 8 ft. long. Some animal has been chewing on it in several places(see pictures) which adds to the primitive look. The critter also chewed on the bottom center leg and the bottom right leg. Red paint or stain looks much brighter in the pictures than it is, it is very dull. Buyer much pick up near Roanoke VA.

St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church(best known as St. Bart's) is a national and New York City Historic Landmark. First established in 1872. It was and still is a vibrant religious and cultural center. Nestled between skyscrapers on Park Ave. it is breathtakingly beautiful. The church is being renovated and we were thrilled to be able to purchase these exquisite pews. They are made entirely of black walnut except for the seats, which are pine. Acquired in pieces, we can offer custom sizes in 3 ft. 9 ft. lengths. This auction is for a 4' pew. All the pews are 34 1/2" h x 22" d. These are the only pews we have ever sold that have molding on the interior sides of the gondolas(ends) Each pew has one set of original, ornate brass row numbers pinned into the top. All are restored to original condition and receive three coats ... moreof satin lacquer. We offer with the feet cut out or with solid sides. We are the only business that has these original St. Bart's pews, so they are rare! We are very proud to offer a limited number and give people an opportunity to enjoy a historic piece of New York City architecture. This listing is for an old primitive bench. Measures 5’ 3 ½ inches long x 33 inches high x 18 ¼ inches depth. The sitting area is 15” deep x 17’ high. Great piece of furniture for a restaurant or waiting area Bench is made of solid wood and has a beautiful strong construction. There are 3 carved crosses on both ends of the bench. The sides of bench. Where the crosses are curved, are pine and base is Mahogany wood– not an expert on types of wood but pine and mahogany is what I’ve been told) Bottom of legs are simply plywood. Antique Pine Church Pew Bench Almost 10 Feet Long Slat Seat ONE WIDE BOARD BACK
This is a wonderful old piece. It measures about 117 or 118 inches long. According to where you measure, IT'S OLD. I feel it is probably a hundred, or little more years old. It has a beautiful patina and"lots of character" There is a little termite damage that appears to be from long ago.
