Vintage Heavy& Sturdy Steel Stool The metal on this great stool ha s a lovely aged patina. It is olive green with some rust. And one leg has a splash of some brighter green. The seat is newer, and it is black with some wear on the edges which reveals a beige undercoat. This is an extremely sturdy stool- the steel is quite heavy with the piece weighing about 17 pounds. The stool is technically adjustable. Although I am not selling it as such because once the top is raised, the leg parts do not align to be able to reattach the bolts and nuts. UHL Stool This vintage UHL stool dates from 1940-1950. The stool adjusts up and down and adjustment works perfectly(height of seat from 16 1/2" to 24" When the seat is set in it's lowest position the top of the backrest is 30" high. The original seat and back have been refinished to a rich dark walnut with a satin lacquer clear coat. The seat measures 16" wide and 14" deep. The backrest measures 13 1/2" wide and 6" high. Both are 3/8" thick. The seat swivels freely. The foot rest ring is 20 1/4" in diameter which is more desirable than the standard 16" The chair was completely dismantled and sandblasted by a professional. The entire piece is mounted on casters. There is some slight separation on the seat, but it is solid. Original green finish. No maker's mark. Most likely dates from the mid 1900's. This piece has a great industrial look. But has obviously been well used. There is significant wear to the seat and light chipping and light rust to surface. The light has very good paint and works OK. The right hand Vemco 4100/30 drafting machine is in very good condtion. A few chips in the paint. It is a 30" machine which is an appropiate size for this board. I am not including any scales, they are availabe on Ebay. The stool has alot of paint worn off on the steel legs. It is the Fred Flintstone stool. Used to have a pad on top. The stool is the right height for most people who would use this table. The bottom of the drafting table is oak and is complete. I had to take parts from another table to complete the hardware on this one. There is one crack which was repaired on one of the leg braces as you can see in the pictures. Glue squeezed out from the crack wh ich is the line you see. The table tilts and can be raised or lowered. To ship this would mean crating it and unfortunately there is no inexpensive way to do this. Vintage Toledo UHL Gray Industrial Drafting Stool Chair Antique - Must See!
Up for sale is a beautiful vintage original Toledo UHL drafting stool in very good condition. Like anything that is over 70-80 years old. It has some nicks, scratches and such. However on the whole it is in really nice shape as well as being very clean. The stool has some rust spots where the paint has warn away over time on it as are visible in the pictures. But nothing out of the ordinary for its age. It has been well cared for, but has that desired aged look where you can tell it has been around. The sticker fell off it at some point. I took a picture of the spot before wiping it off so you can see it was a real Toledo stool. If you have ever seen the sticker between the 2 rivets you can see the outline there to know that it was once on there many years ago. It will make a great addition to someone who is looking for a vintage piece like ... morethis that can appreciate its"character" and imperfections. While being proud to have a clean functional example of a timeless drafting stool. As far as shipping. In the past what I have done is take the back riser part off as it is easily removable, so that I can properly box the stool to be able to ship it anywhere in the continental U.S for a reasonable price. The buyer will have to put the back riser back on, but it is only held on by 4 bolts and is easily done. Trying to ship it any other way is far too costly and just not practical given the size. For auction is one vintage Krueger metal shop/drafting stool. It is painted a medium gray color and is upholstered in a bright red vinyl. The entire chair has been completely cleaned and detailed. And the metal base has a nice, shop-worn patina around the footrest. The seat height adjusts from 20" to 26" and is 16" wide by 14" deep. The backrest adjusts out and up. For auction is one beautiful vintage Steelcase metal drafting stool from the early to mid 1980s. It is in fantastic original condition. It is upholstered in black vinyl and has a gorgeous chrome base. The entire stool has been cleaned and detailed from top to bottom. And the chrome gleams from a fresh polishing. The backrest has a few light scratches and one nicked upper corner on the back(see photos) The only other flaw is with the chrome adjustment collar. Which, while fully functional, has an uneven edge. They were leaders in the office furniture market. Designing chairs to support the posture and comfort of every seated worker. During World War ll. Cramer designed crew chairs for heavy bombers and gunner chairs for Navy Battleships. In 1948 Cramer aluminum chairs were even accepted as the standard for the United Nations Headquarters in New York City. They did much to introduce and incorporate ergonomics into office seating. The vertical adjustment mechanism gives the stool a bold mechanical aesthetic The seat and backrest are foam padded and covered with green leather. The back cover is original. The seat cover has been replaced with a registered seat cover from the CRAMER company and is tagged with the part number. Although it doesn't fit as snug as it did originally. It stays on just fine but as you can see in the photos the padding shows around the edge when you look at it from the bottom. This Draftsmans Stool is in overall great vintage condition. The base is the original silver color and has all the wear expected and desired in a stool that has been in service for at least 50 yrs. Vintage Industrial Toledo Uhl Stool Machine Chair drafting mid Century steampunk
I have lots of Mid Century and industrial stuff listed and more on the way including more UHL stools. This is a nice old one it does work the back pivots as well as adjusts up and down from 39 3/4 down to 29 inches. The seat adjusts also from 25 3/4 to 17 3/4. It has normal wear but the wood seat and back could be refinished if you wanted to but it has lots of character.

Vintage Industrial Antique Cast Iron Swing Desk Drafting Artist Stool Seat Chair
This swing stool would be perfect for mounting to a drafting table. Desk, booth, or wall. The stool has a cast iron base marked"S-814" on the frame and"I" in another area. The stool extends about 19.5" from the wall and the seat is 12" around. The bracket that mounts to the wall is 10" tall and a little under 1.5" wide. The bracket allows the arm to swing around horizontally to the desired position. The mounting holes in the bracket are 7/16" and spaced 8 3/4" apart on center. Antique Operators Stool - Industrial Barstool - Drafting Chair- Bentwood-Vintage
Available here is the fourth of four antique industrial stools I am listing. This beautiful stool was probably used by a telephone switchboard operator or possibly by a architect as a drafting chair. This would be perfect as a repurposed barstool! The stool body is completely made out of wood. Unlike many of the later versions. The swivel mechanism is steel. It dates to the early 1900's. Probably between 1910 and 1915. The stool is in good functioning condition. The chair height is adjustable by swiveling it one way or the other. The caning is in good shape. And it supported me(pushing 200 lbs) without issue. It features a flared four-legged base with intact and stable heel ring. Supported by bent wooden rods affixed to the base legs. It has a contoured backrest. The footrest has what looks like a splinter in the wood, but this was how ... morethe chair was originally crafted. The wood is wrapped around the base and the split is where the ends connected. The seat diameter is approximately 16.5" and the footrest diameter is approximately 18.25" When the chair is swiveled to its lowest position the seat is approximately 28" from the floor. I have listed 3 other matching stools and would be willing to make a deal for all of them. This is listed as local pick up only. I can safely store this for a reasonable amount of time in Kansas City. Shipping may be available through UPS. They would do the packing and fully insure it.
