It has wraparound arms with rope twist spindles and an oval medallion in the center. But i am not sure, could be the ... moreearly 1900s?There are no markings on it that i can see. The Hall Tree is in excellent condition, is very solid, and has a nice aged Patina look. It is about 82-3/4" tall, 24 to 26" wide(at different levels) and 15" deep. The Beveled Mirror is about 17 1/4" wide and 35" high and in very good condition for its age. There are 6 Coat, Cap Hooks, the two on top are Butterfly Hooks( unusual& rare) see picture 5, I have never seen these before or after we got this one) I don't know if they were on the Hall Tree from day one or if someone added them later, they are old and they compliment the attractive decorative carvings on top, plus they do match the cutout pattern above the seat perfectly.see picture 3) The Bench Seat has storage space under the lid. There are no major issues with the Hall Tree. Please get in touch if you have any questions or would like to see it. I am offering this as local pickup only. Antique Oak Entry Hall Tree With Storage Bench & Beveled Mirror & Butterfly Hook
For your consideration is this Very Nice Antique Oak Entry Hall Tree. I have been told it dates back to the late 1800s. But i am not sure, could be the early 1900s?There are no markings on it that i can see. The Hall Tree is in excellent condition, is very solid, and has a nice aged Patina look. It is about 82-3/4" tall, 24 to 26" wide(at different levels) and 15" deep. The Beveled Mirror is about 17 1/4" wide and 35" high and in very good condition for its age. There are 6 Coat, Cap Hooks, the two on top are Butterfly Hooks( unusual& rare) see picture 5, I have never seen these before or after we got this one) I don't know if they were on the Hall Tree from day one or if someone added them later, they are old and they compliment the attractive decorative carvings on top, plus they do match the cutout pattern ... moreabove the seat perfectly.see picture 3) The Bench Seat has storage space under the lid. for auction is a wonderful hall tree or bench. more apt to be called a hall bench due to its size. this is a masculine piece or more fitting for a man's taste i would say. it is very heavy. Well constructed, thick, and strong. it has wonderful quartersaw oak used in its building. the hall bench is 48 inches wide, 18 inches deep, 18 inches from the floor to the top of the seat, and 78 inches tall. it is a true antique, built circa 1890-1910. it has a lift lid with three hinges and has a lot of storage space. as i said it is very well built and has no wiggles or wobbles. i think you could drag it behind a truck and it would stay together. as far as i know it is all original, has great patina with a nutmeg color to it from age and wonderful and abundant quartersawn flake in the boards. the front feet have a spider like appearance to them, ... moresomething not seen often. it has lots of molding and trim all over it as well as a nice shell crest with neat carvings on either side of it. the mirror is probably original but has been resilvered. hall trees this size are hard to come by and are usually pretty pricy. i am starting this one for what i paid years ago. it may be picked up at my home or shipped at the buyer's expense. i can help arrange shipment should that be of benefit to anyone. good luck. i can supply more pictures should anyone desire to see something in more detail.

Here is a very nice bench seat. It is really in great shape considering the age. There is only one small piece of wood missing on the arm. Please see picture#2 below. for sale is a very large quartersawn oak hall tree or hall bench with a mirror big enough to be called a pier mirror. it has very nice quartersawn flake throughout the entire piece. mirror is original and is beveled and shows a tiny big of silver loss and some smokiness. it has nice carvings at various places that can be seen. it has neat arms and arm supports that are very thick. It was made in the Stickley era. It's unmarked. The wood is in very good condition, there are a few areas of wear. There are 1 or 2 areas where the joints seem slightly loose- definitely not too loose, like you can sit on the bench. But just, slightly wiggly. I'm not a carpenter or a wood guy, so I didn't want to try and tighten them. The leather cushion is clearly in disrepair. It would need to be restored in order to make it look nice. It has springs on the underside. The rest of the finish is original with just enough wear and mars for antique patina. Waxed and buffed, only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its luster. Circa 1860. The settle is constructed of solid oak panelled timbers. The back consists of five-raised fielded carved Tudor style inset panels. Further fielded panels are also visible to the bottom of the seat and the sides of the settle. The single lid in the seat is hinged with steel hinges. The inside of the box settle. Which is dry and clean, is ideal for storing shoes and wellies in the hallway. The settle boasts down swept shaped oak arms to the sides and pegged construction. The settle features the original polish and patination and thus the colour of this settle is superb. This item would look superb in a variety of rooms from the hallway. Dining room or kitchen.
