Does have some cracking and rubbing from use. I ... moresee no tears or rips in the leather. Seat has original stuffing. Underside of Saddle does need repair, needs to be rethreaded to seal in the stuffing, grommets are all in place however they do have some rust. Otherwise leather could use a gentle cleaning. Leather is soft, could use some conditioning. Wooden Seat is in Good Condition. Has original Rawhide? bindings which are stiff however they don't appear to be brittle or cracking. No cracks in the wood. Just needs cleaning. Decorations on the legs are metal, all are accounted for, patina is rubbed in some areas- see pictures. You are considering a vintage heavy-duty bench which is just under nine feet. She is a monster. I salvaged the slab of lumber from a building demo in Newark. OH. My local machine shop produced the heavy, square tubed metal legs for me. They were attaced with 4 1/2"x3/8 lag screws. The bench is about 107" long X 13 1/2" deep X 19" tall. It is very heavy. It was made by the" Manual Arts Furniture Company" Cincinatti. Ohio. There is a storage compartment under seat. The top has been restored to a polished soft satin finish. There are some small scratches on the legs and side areas. The legs have decorative grooves. A child( i assume) wrote the name Honey on the front, it is very faint and hard to see. See pictures. The sturdiest little stool I've ever seen! Solid maple wood- well built- excellent quality! Legs are pegged into the top as shown in photo. A brass tag on the underside states the manufacturer- A genuine Cushman Colonial Creations- made in Bennington. Vermont. Also has an"F" stamped into it as well as"CUSHMAN 9038" The Cushman company was sold in 1971. This stool is over 50 years old, but has no major problems. A few surface scratches, but nothing structurally. The top looks like someone started to sand then stopped- a few light places on the top. 3 of the legs have a felt tab on bottom which I did not attempt to remove. Vintage Antique Prayer Bench Wood Kneeler Catholic Rosary
This is an absolutely wonderful old folding prayer bench and it is in great condition. It is made from solid oak and is very sturdy. All joints are tight. There are both a padded knee cushion and padded elbow rest. The red velvet that cover the cushions have a little wear but only very little. Seeing the wear one can't help but think about all of the prayers that were sent from this lovely old kneeler. There are no stains or marks on the velvet material. There is a carved wooden crest on each side depicting a rosary. A brass rod runs across the bottom the add addition structural support. The brass has taken on a nice dull patina. Original Vintage Solid Hard Wood Gossip/Telephone Bench
Original vintage solid hard wood gossip/telephone bench circa 1940s. This bench was in my husband's family home since he can remember so we figure it was there in the 40s when he was old enough to notice it. I am not sure of the wood. But it is a beautiful grain and a deep rich color. The chair is in excellent condition without any loose or wobbly parts, no nicks or dents in the wood except two scratches on the back on one leg(pictures) There are two small spots on the seat that look slightly faded-you have to look really closely at photos to see them. All original without any restorations.
