This classic victorian style piano stool is very pretty. And would make a great restoration project. The bottom frame is composed of cast iron. It is beautifully engraved and features three gorgeous twisted legs that add volumes to the overall style. The seat portion appears to be made of pine. It looks as if it was just the base that a padded cushion or covering was glued to. You can see some of the left over residue from this in the pictures. The cast iron portion is in great shape, with no dents, dings or bends whatsoever. The part that adjust spins up and down quite smoothly. There is light surface rust in a few places that should be very easy to remove. It is around 18" tall, and the legs are 18" apart at there widest points. This is a very nice piece! Stylish. Antique, upholstered bench. The legs/frame are heavy, quality pieces. This is a genuine antique made and signed by the W.H.Howell Co. in GENEVA ILL. The cast iron has a wonderful, aged brass/bronze patina. Great, contoured legs with acanthus decoration and paw feet. The padded bench has some wear on the corners. Antique Duet Piano Cherry Wood Bench W.H. Simmons Williamsport Flip Music Holder
This item is for pick up only. Antique duet Wood piano bench. I believe wood is Cherry. Chippendale style legs. This bench is really unique in that when you lift the top it also inverts an 8 compartment music or note holder that the top is attached to. Then when you lower the lid the compartment goes horizontal for easy storage. The mechanism works very smoothly. This bench does show show some signs of age and wear. Overall though it is a very nice condition. Please view the pictures for details. The front left leg did start to crack a little so somebody put a few screws underneath. You don't really see them unless you're down at their level. The back right leg also has a screw I think for the same reason. The bench seems very sturdy though. I am selling my antique Kimball upright piano as I need to make room for a home remodel. This is a stunning piano- gorgeous tiger oak with lovely patterns in the wood grain. And leafy wood carving designs on the front. All the keys are in nice shape. As soon as anyone walks in my front door, they comment how beautiful this piano is! The piano measures 59 1/4" high. 63" wide, and 27" deep. The previous owner had d o n e some restoration on the finish I am not an expert and didn't want to attempt any refinishing on my own. The wood is bare and natural; on the inside you can see the previous dark finish-probably from linseed oil. There is a small dark ring from a candle( on the top that could bee removed with wood lightener; there is some veneer on the ends of the body near the keyboard that has chipped off but could be replaced. ... moreAnd near the front feet. A couple of small trim pieces on the bench need to be replaced and could be found a t your local home improvement store. Overall a gorgeous piano- sounds nice- all of the keys are int act. I n nice shape- beautiful color with no stains. Ch ips cracks or d iscoloration and only one sticks slightly but could be easily taken care of when tuning(after a piano is moved it pretty much always needs tuning The foot pedals could use some polish but work fine. This piano stool has claw feet, an intricate bottom support system of pillars and legs, and a swivel seat with a raised 10" backing for comfort. The seat swivels perfectly with no issues. The gap beneath the seat and the rest of the piano stool(where the swivel mechanism is) shows some glue work to secure the seat to the rest of the stool, and in no way interferes with the swivel mechanism. I have only seen one other original steinway adjustable bench come thru my doors. So yes, this is rare! This just came in with a 1928 Steinway B. This bench was with the piano since new! This is genuine leather and adjustable from 17" high and raises to a max of 20" high. The bench measures 22" long and is 17" wide. Feautures rounded art case legs with a black ebony satin finish. Antique 19thC C.W. Chadwick Carved Walnut Victorian Piano Stool Velvet Bench
This is a beautiful piano stool circa 1889. It is in very good condition with what looks like original sawdust stuffed cushion. The red velvet has faded however. The wooden base is carved from what I believe is walnut. There is a cast iron stool spider supporting the top marked C.W. Chadwick North Acton Massachusetts. There are nails around the bottom from perhaps a time when it was recovered but the original cushion was not replaced. There is pencil on the bottom which indicates 89 so perhaps it is dated 1889. It appears to be from that time period. Measures 17"w x 12"d x 19"h. Thank you!

THE FABRIC IS MOST LIKELY ORIGINAL. I HAD TO REPLACE A FEW OF THE SCREWS THAT GO INTO THE PIECE THAT WOULD HOLD THE SWIVEL SCREW- YOU WON'T SEE THEM UNLESS YOU REMOVE THE BENCH FROM THE BASE. The metal has a nice patina, and the glass balls are in good, crack free condition, but dusty/dirty with normal use scratches at bottoms. The wooden base is in good condition, again, dusty/dirty. At the top is a 4" diameter, rusty hardware piece for attaching the seat, with three screws, one is missing as there should be 4. This is an ornate antique Victorian adjustable piano/ organ/ harp stool. The stool is in great condition and appears to retain its original mahogany finish. It is made of solid wood that is stained mahogany. It has metal claw and clear glass ball feet. The glass balls are not cracked and the legs and base are ornately turned. The seat is covered with padding and red velvet. The cloth is not ripped or torn. But has some light stains. There is some light wear and scratches from use on the wood, and the legs are a little loose, but could easily be re-glued. There is a white cloth wrapped around the adjustment screw in the seat to keep it from squeaking as much when it turns. The round piece of wood under the seat has been re-glued as seen in the photos.
