Vintage Heavy& Sturdy Steel Stool The metal on this great stool ha s a lovely aged patina. It is olive green with some rust. And one leg has a splash of some brighter green. The seat is newer, and it is black with some wear on the edges which reveals a beige undercoat. This is an extremely sturdy stool- the steel is quite heavy with the piece weighing about 17 pounds. Legs adjust with screws to a variety of heights. At the tallest it measures 25" from floor to seat and shortest it is 17.5" from floor to seat. The seats were replaced with thick solid oak wood seats with a rounded edge. Seats have a 13 1/4" dia. with a dark walnut stain and a satin lacquered finish. The stool base has an all riveted construction which still makes it a very solid and sturdy piece. The seat height adjusts with a shapley cast iron wheel from 25 1/2" to 29 1/2" The stools steel framed metal base has been sand blasted. Cleaned and finished with a clear satin metal lacquer. Fantastic vintage industrial stool. Metal tube legs held together by a circular stretcher. Round wooden seat swivels and has an adjustable mechanism. But no longer goes above the lowest height. The entire piece is mounted on casters. There is some slight separation on the seat, but it is solid. Original green finish. No maker's mark. Most likely dates from the mid 1900's. This piece has a great industrial look. But has obviously been well used. There is significant wear to the seat and light chipping and light rust to surface. Otherwise the piece is in great condition. The stool measures 14" across the seat and 19.5" across the widest point. It stands 29" tall. All castors roll and ossilate freely. Original label identifies it as made by"Toledo Steel and UHL Metal Furniture Co. This one came from a closed machine shop in New Britain. Cute little guy and mighty handy. It was rusty when I got it and as much as I hate new paint I felt it needed some curb appeal. I used 000 steel wool and thinner to clean it and painted it with Rustoleum Hammered Paint. I did not paint the bottom of the seat to keep the label visible. I have some nice items including more industrial things like lites etc this week. PLease have a look.

Another one of my estate sale Relics. The stool is in good working condition.And is made from cast iron,and twisted heavy metal wire. I'm not sure what occupation might have used the stool. It appears to be from the late 1800's to the early 1920's,not sure. The stool has a threaded rod that runs thru the center of the ornate cast iron. The rod raises and lowers the seat to the desired height. The piece measures 18in tall x 18in wide x 18 in wide,and you can adjust it to a height of approx 22 + inches. The piece is heavy. For auction is one vintage Krueger metal shop/drafting stool. It is painted a medium gray color and is upholstered in a bright red vinyl. The entire chair has been completely cleaned and detailed. And the metal base has a nice, shop-worn patina around the footrest. The seat height adjusts from 20" to 26" and is 16" wide by 14" deep. The backrest adjusts out and up.
